North America Transfer American Relocation Dishonest, Unprofessional, Thieving Company! Simi Valley, California

We originally hired the company American Relocation, received an emailed Binding quote for $918 for our move from Utah to Florida. Our things were to be picked up on November 18, 2010 & delivered on November 28, 2010. After the driver loaded our things he provided a revised Binding quote of $1813.46 less the $417.28 that we paid the driver leaving a total of $1396.18.

November 28 came and went as well as all of December with no delivery, we called hundreds and hundreds of times and only a few times were we able to get a response. 4 different times we were told an excuse (bad weather, broke down truck, etc) & that our things would be delivered in 4 days. Each time the delivery day came and went with no delivery & no communication.

Near the end of January, after being contacted by a Utah news reporter, they called us at about 6:30 pm and told us the truck was in our town and he would be at our house within the hour with our things and we must have $2600 cash or postal money order or he would leave the area without delivering our things. We told them that what had (since November) was the quoted total owing of $1396.18 and that we weren't paying more than that & even if they had a legitimate rate increase, the banks and post office were closed. We were told that since we were refusing delivery the driver would be leaving the area.

At this time (March 3, 2011) we do not have our things. When we have attempted to discuss the situation, the only people available to talk to are a female named Holly & a male named Adi that claims to be the owner of the company. They have both yelled and screamed at us over the phone, accusing us of trying to rip them off, accusing us of cutting a deal with the driver to sign a low quote, of not wanting to pay for their services because of the poor economy, etc.

Now they are demanding $5415.77 to be paid in advance or they will auction off our things within the next 10 days.

From beginning to end this company has been unprofessional & dishonest!
