North Star Finance is a huge scam. Please beware! Do not contact this company. They scammed me out of $6,000.

North Star Finance sent me several letters stating I was eligible for a loan modification. I contacted them to see what it was all about. I am 82 years old and have a high interest rate on my home in Florida. They explained their process and I trusted them....that turned out to be a huge mistake.

Over the next several weeks I filled out everything required, and supplied them with all of their requested information. They explained to me they would have my mortgage loan modified within 3 months and my interest rate would be reduced to the current average rates. They then required a $6,000 payment for the closing of the loan modification. I sent them the money.

Over the next few months I heard very little from them. I tried and tried to get a hold of them. I did receive a couple more letters, which made it look like they were actually working on it. I later learned that nothing was actually being done, and their documents are all bogus.

I have contacted them a dozen times over the last couple of months, and have received zero communication back. My loan has not been modified, I am out $6,000, and they won't return any of my emails or phone calls.

They state they have a 100% Money Back Guarantee. If so, why won't they give me back my money? They have done absolutely nothing to assist me in modifying my loan.
