I purchased a used class A diesel pusher from North Trail RV some years ago and while I do like the coach and have enjoyed its use with limited issues, I was taken advantage of emotionally and monitarily. The salesman presented himself as a down to earth good guy with only my interset and happiness as the factors for a good sale. This turned out not to be the case. He was either truly not what he presented as or the dealership was taking advantage of both of us. My problems began after the deal was made and ended in the service department where I was ripped off by experts.

During the deal making phase, the salesman went over the RV with me top to bottom and noted all concerns I had. Some of the issues were considered as is, some considered diffenitely fixable and of coarse some were Ill (salesman) do everything I can for you to have this fixed. The last group of issues of coarse never got fixed, but I was assured the service department would work with me to adress them since now I was part of the family (note to self-dont fall for this again). The diffenitly fixable items were only about half done but I was told and it was documented that the were all done. The only issues that I know for sure were as promised were the as is items.

At the end of the dealing phase and after making a comitment on my end, I was called by the salesman who was happy to report all items had been adressed and the coach was ready for pickup. But you now know from info above that was not true. He went over with me the details of coming in the next day for final purchase. Later that same day he called me back and said when he was getting the paperwork ready with his boss he was advised he had promised a repair that was not authorized. He said he was going to have to pay for it out of his pocket and asked if I would please at least pay for half of it to help him out. I unfortunately agreed. At the final purchase meeting the finacial guy worked me over on the down payment and got me to put down more than we had originally agreed to. Bottom line to the purchase was they had me hooked and invested in the deal and were able to take advantage of the situation.

Once the papers were signed and money exchanged I was now the owner of the coach, basically the black sheep of the family and ready for the service department rip off. An appointment was set up for me by the salesman to bring the coach in and have some of the as is items repaired and a service done. I discovered later from another mechanic that many of the service items were never done. hard to do the service when key bolts are rusted on from never being removed. I had to bring the coach in several times to be ripped off. The first time I was given an early morning appointment and waited till late afternoon to be told they would not be able to work on my coach at all. The next time they broke a vent cover and refused to fix it stating they didnt think they did it. The last trip to them I was told up front what repairs would cost and then was charged hundreds of dollars more.

The ordeal at that point had become more than aggravating it was embarrasing. I got taken many times and should have known better, but thats what happens when you really want something and a dealership knows it and how to work you over.

RV expert witness speaks up

AUTHOR: RV expert witness speaks up - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, October 14, 2017

I recently contacted a attorney to help him with a couple of cases regarding lawsuits against RV dealerships.   And from this point forward I am going to offer my services to any law firm who contact Rip Off Report about the RV expert witness I'm going to offer my services to any law firm that helps people with RV dealership complaints at no cost.   I'm sick and tired of customers getting ripped off in the RV industry there are so many scammers in the RV industry it's absolutely pathetic.

I only could wish that people would do their research on Rip Off Report before they go to any RV dealership of their choice.      Do you know that most RV dealerships do not do pre-delivery inspections on the coaches they plan to sell before they put them on the lot ?     That's why they call it a shakedown cruise after you purchase the motorhome they tell you to go take it for a shakedown cruise find all the problems that we didn't look for when we sold you the motorhome before we put in a lot for sale.

What many of them are telling you is that they don't want to spend the money to pay their RV technicians to go through the coach and make sure that everything works and the LP gas system has no leaks they don't want to pay for that task.    Trust me the RV industry has the worst reputation than any car dealership of your choice.   If they RV dealership  has a commitment to customer satisfaction I would love to meet them.       I went up against one of the largest RV dealerships in the country and I showed that the RV dealership was submitted fraudulent documents as evidence with forge signatures as far as the predelivery inspection .

I showed everybody involved the LP gas is not measured in pounds per square inch    It's measured in inches of water column.   The particular document that they submitted as evidence of predelivery inspection had a forged signature on it and I proved it.  That tells me they did not want to pay their RV technicians to do a complete and thorough predelivery inspection to make sure everything works in this particular coach they said it was brand new but I worked on over 27 pages of repairs that that coach needed that was represented as a brand new coach little did the buyer or the  plaintiffs  attorney did not know that the front end of the coach of been crashed and the dealership send it back to the manufacture to have a new face put on the front end of the motorhome  makes me think they damage the motorhome on the lot I put it on a flatbed and shipped it back to the manufacture to get it repaired before they put it on the lot for sale so in reality

The RV buyer bought a crash motorhome that was represented as a brand new motorhome.    So from now on if an attorney contact me about being an expert witness for them I'm going to do it for absolutely no cost all they have to do is send me the documents and the reason I'm posting this is to let everybody know that I'm sick and tired of people being ripped off in the  RV industry    So I'm going to do something about it.

I'm not posting my name up here in my contact information to try to drum up business that's not what I'm doing what I'm doing is letting everybody know that I'm taking action helping the victims.   So when you read my postings you know that I know what I'm talking about because  law firm's that take on these type of cases know that I know what I'm talking about.

So call me the RV expert

A dirty RV dealerships worst nightmare.

I'm actually sick and tired of people buy and RVs and getting ripped off.
