I took a title loan out on my car with northwest title loans of post falls, idaho. Their interest rate is very high at over 300%/year, which they will not tell you on the phone. However, that is not a ripoff since when you inquire about the loan they tell you what your interest rate is.

The problem i have with this company is that they will not allow you to make a payment by check or over the telephone. The problem this creates is that you are charged daily for interest. Therefore, you are charged for a couple days interest if it takes you a couple days to get the payment to them. in my case, i have to drive far from my normal driving area to get there. They could easily step into the 21st century and accept payment over the phone with a cc, however they choose not to so that in hopes you forget to make the payment altogether, and then they can tack on other charges. it is a scam, just like the scams you see where you get signed up for a service just get something for free, but then you forget to cancel it in time, and a month later 4 checks bounced because "Viola Media" charges your account 20 bucks.

NorthWest Title and other pawn shops.....

AUTHOR: kevinkevin - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, October 03, 2009

To the peeps complaining of a rip-off,

I find it amazing that you people go to pawn shops and such spoke of title loan businesses, which are pawn shops also,  and complain about the money loaned to you!!!!!

First of all you without a doubt have shitty credit and no other means when hard times and cashflow problems come about.  If you go to a pawn shop for cash it is beacause you have previously not taken care of your financial obligations!  So this is now your only venue to solve your immediate cash problems(wonder why they wont take your check:(...)!!!    So you go down to get the cash you need, sign the contract(probably without reading it),  then when it comes time to pay you b***h about interest and payment options,  hmmmmm imagine that.

Here is my suggestion to you peeps;

Take care of your business, pay your bills, fix your credit!!!!!

If you do that you will be able to get a credit card, signature loan, etc etc....

You pawn shop frequenters have nobody to blame but yourselves and your own poor financial decisions(i realize there a small percent of you that have had medical issues or such which may have damaged your credit......) for being there.  So such as the rest of your lives,  You are happy to get cash :)  :)  :)    but when it comes time to pay the bills you dont do it!!!!!    Thats why you are at the pawn shop and not the bank!!

SO,  TAKE OF YOUR BUSINESS AND PAY YOUR DEBTS!!!  FIX YOUR CREDIT UP AND DONT GO TO THE PAWN SHOP!!!!

READ THE PAPERWORK BEFORE YOU SIGN IT,  IF YOU DONT LIKE THE DEAL THEN DONT SIGN IT!!!!

AND PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE  STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT YOURE OWN FOOLISH DECISIONS.

I AM SO SICK OF WHINY CRYBABY AMERICANS THAT DONT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR OWN DESICIONS!!!!   HAS IT BECOME THE AMERICAN WAY TO JUST ALWAYS BLAME IT ON SOMEBODY ELSE AND NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY????

My 2 cents,

Kevin

Hope you learned your lesson on car title and pay day loan-sharking places.

Once you get this mess cleaned up NEVER do this again.

In the mean time, close your accounts and have your state send you another title to your car. Claim you lost the old one.

they tried to rip me off

AUTHOR: Robosimono - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, December 08, 2007

Every time i call them to make a payment against my principal balance, they inform me that a payment is not needed at this time. They intentionally try to get people to not pay so their balances never get paid off. They informed me it would be easier to just drop off a money order in the mail, than for me to come in with cash and pay. Well, i decided to listen to them. I sent them a money order, $200. Yeah you guessed it: it didn't get there. They told me the mail comes saturday also, and by monday, i was scared because i was unsure of the location of my money order. I dropped it off Thursday, it should have been there saturday. Where i dropped it off at is less than 40 miles, and with routing times, i knew it would be there by saturday at the latest. Monday i called them inquiring about my money order. They informed me that my money order had not been received yet. I told them i was well aware of the mail routing system around here and it should have been there saturday. At this point they begin yelling around at eachother to find out if anyone picked up saturdays mail. She informed me to call back later on in the day after mondays mail came in at 2:30. 4:00 rolls around and i call them. They inform me that my money order never made it. I inform them that i will be contacting my post office to find out if there were any delays in the mail system. I get a call back 10 minutes later saying they found it. But, of course it didnt come in saturday, it came in monday.

They were lying, and they are deceiving, never get a title loan.
