Nothing But Noodles Unhappy Employees Clifton Park New York

When this location first opened, it was a very exciting and worthwhile experience. As time has progressed many upsetting practices have taken place.

First off, the company's workforce is made up of 94% of underage high school students who can't serve alcohol, which is something this location does. The reason for this is because "High school students work without bitching, and get paid a lot less than experienced workers would. Additionally, they can easily be replaced".

I and several individuals worked with this company since day one, and despite asking several times, were never given a raise. This location opened in January of 2007, most of the original employees still made minimum wage up until this past summer.

Many high school students went off to college, and that began the decline of service at this location. NBN has a terrible employee turnover rate; with out of the 207 employees that have been hired since opening, roughly 30 are currently employed, while only 5 have been there since day one.

The company has a severely flawed 'tip' system in which the tips are contained in a cup, and divided up usually every few days by the number of people who worked each particular shift. However, you have many employee's who do not do have as much work as other employee's getting paid equally just for being there.

Additionally, whenever the cash drawers are short at night, management has no issues taking our tips in order to balance the drawers and fill their pockets.
Many employees work double shifts that equal up to 12 hours or more with no break at all. Additionally, because of management's lack of education and experience in the industry, there are many days where we are understaffed and very busy.

In the year and a half we have been in operation in Clifton Park, we have seen a HUGE number of employee's "walk-out" on shifts...this surprisingly sparks no thought in managements mind that they are doing something wrong as far as hiring, and promoting people within the company.

Seniority at NBN means absolutely nothing, and to get a raise or promoted to manager you must do drugs, be attractive, and be willing to get in bed with management. A facebook group dedicated primarily to the Nothing But Noodles Latham location [which also swaps employee's when needed between Clifton Park and Latham] directly lists many problems with working for this company, and clearly identifies: "You know you've worked for Noodles far too long when...*You've been a victim of sexual harassment [by management] at least twice a day... but you're ok with it"

Rewarding employee's for a job well done, or recognizing hard work does not exist at Nothing but Noodles of Clifton Park. It's very unfortunate.
