NSS Magazine Subscriptions Auto-Renewal ripoff Connecticut

I had signed up for a trial magazine subscription, and, without notice, these magazines were auto-renewed to my account as Nss*runsp2* 800-##. I didn't know who did that until I looked at this website. I called the company, did not answer any of the prompts on the automated, voice activated menu, and finally got through to an operator.

When I told him to cancel the magazines and refund the $$ for them to my account, he said he could do that and offer me another subscription to them all for $1 a piece for a year!!!! i've been signed up since 2002, didn't realize they were auto-renewing the magazines, never received a notice about the auto-renewal, and they think I'll sign up for another year?? I told them no, I didn't think I'd receive notice about the next renewal, and that I just wanted my $$ back for the subscriptions, and that I wanted the subscriptions cancelled.

At the moment I am now waiting for 1-2 billing cycles to pass before I see a credit, hopefully one will be sent!
