I firmly believe for one reason or another I was mislead and discriminated against by the NTI work at home program. I'm disabled, which is necessary to qualifity for their program.  Other necessities are to be receiving social security disablility compensation and also be qualified for the social security ticket to work program. I have all qualifications and exactly what is needed to fit their training program.  I came across the NTI program when looking for disabled employment opportunities online.  This particular program seemed to have it all.  Online training programs to help learn the skills needed to work various jobs online.  According to NTI they not only train, but are connected or affiliated with several companies that hire. After completing their online application I was given a call regarding my inquirey.  The phone representitive told me I now needed a pre-screen group interview for qualification purposes, which I set up at this time.  I was also sent an e-mail regarding the interview with links to tutorials containing information about the group webinar. When the day and time arrived for the web interview I felt confident and ready to engage in the group session.  As I mentioned information throught e-mail with different links was given, including easy to follow step by step instructions on connecting to the meeting.  After going through the connecting process I was never able to make the connection and missed out on the interview.  Shortly after I was informed by e-mail that the issue appeared to by my fault and the technical problem was at my end.  My computer is new and as I mentioned connection instructions were simple.  The e-mail also suggested since I made this technical error, only after careful consideration could I have another chance and to call and schedule another appointment. Being a disabled person one would think a organization would be respectful and compassionate this e-mail was basically the opposite.  As I said it sounded as if I made a fatal mistake and the opportunity would possibly be reconsidered.  Latter that day I recieved another e-mail stating no more phones will be used to connect to the interviews, and that I  now needed a microphone headset to participate.  I can almost guarantee the technical issues I experienced were from NTI's end.  I called for another appointment which was scheduled for March 11th at noon est.  The last e-mail also contained links with a little different information considering a headset was now necessary.  Again I followed the information on the e-mail links step by step.  I came to a final page that said" wait for your interview host."  Again nothing happened--I didn't recieve a response from the interviewer and the connection was never completed.  After missing another interview meeting because of no connection I received an e-mail stating NTI was fortunate to have other canidated that were better suited than I, and good luck, and have a nice day.  This whole process with NTI took over two weeks, during that time I was thinking I finally have an opportunity to increase the little income I recieve from social security disablitlity and become a bit more prosperous.  Unvortunately that just wasn't the case for me.  I firmly believe NTI treated me unfairly and have their reasons for discriminating.  They lead me to believe the tecnical problems I was having were my fault, which seems to be some type of stalling tactic being used while they were making decisions.  I'm in hopes that Rip Off Report can possibly find me some type of resolution or justice with the situation I experienced with NTI.  If not, maybe a sense of direction for some kind of justice.

Question

AUTHOR: Giselle - (United Kingdom)

Did you have anyone with a technical background look at your computer?  If not, that would have been helpful.  I agree it is not acceptable for them to be terse and uncooperative with someone who is obviously trying.  I don't know if they are a deceitful organization or not, as I have found good and bad information about them online.  I will say this:  if they ask you for any money or to pay for things like a background check for example, don't do it.  Real staffing firms do not ask applicants for money.  Never pay for a job.  Good luck!
