I hired Nu Cen-tury Inc to get me a federal GSA for my small business. I paid nearly $7000 for this service, and after several months, I have not seen anything, except paperwork that I am supposed to fill out, which I did, and for no results! They market themselves as a wing of the government who can get you set up with GSA contracts working for the federal department. But they are actually a private organization who cares more about taking small businesses' money, than actually providing any services. They are nearly impossible to get a hold of, and when you do get a hold of them, it's always a different person, and when I ask to speak with whomever I spoke with last time, I am told they are no longer working for them. This has happened on more than one occasion, and probably would have happened a lot more if they actually answered any of my phone calls or emails on a regular basis!

They always act like they have my interests in mind, but that's cause they already took me for $7000 dollars and I am now demanding a refund, which of course they cannot do because they have already given me their services, time, effort, or whatever they think they have given me! If you need a GSA, go anywhere, ANYWHERE, but Nu Cen-tury Inc! They are clearly a ponzi scheme. If you are already working with them, then I suggest pull out now, demand a refund, and never look back. You will not get anywhere or anything from them except debt. They are preying on small businesses to take them for what they are worth. They are probably not even American citizens, because I cannot imagine an American doing this to American small businesses, especially in this difficult recession. Avoid NuCen-tury Inc like the plague!

total rip off

AUTHOR: oldsmarpooh - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, February 14, 2013

Kevin was not interested in helping his clients, he was interested in how much money he could put in his pocket.

In July he was investigated and right after the investigation ended, a whole bunch of people were laid off.  I called to find out where my W2 was, and yes, he did supposedly take out taxes from my check, but No W-2, he lied and said they were mailed, they were not, and now he has closed the office and will not return any phone calls.

Kevin's main interest was always get their money.  I was hired for something specific and was told to get their money even though he KNEW that what he was offering DID NOT work.  He had fake counters on his websites, he had fake testimonials, everything about him was fake, which was a shame, but that is what happens when all people think about is money.

He may have helped a handful of people, but I know several companies that were pissed off and dissatisfied and I personally took those calls.

Recheck the Company

AUTHOR: shlzneg007 - (Philippines)

POSTED: Monday, February 27, 2012

Please recheck the company that you have signed in. It may be other scam companies that pretends to be the Nu Cen-tury Inc. You should also research about Nu Cen-tury Inc and be more confident to know some information about this company. As I've researched, this company has given benefits to many vendors of small businesses and I've seen that there are many who are satisfied for their services.

POSTED: Monday, August 01, 2011

I'm an employee of nu cen-tury and never have they taken any money from me or taken any from my paycheck. Never have I been told to represent NCI as a government entity, In fact just the opposite. Im encouraged to be honest and straightforward with all of our prospective clients. Working with NCI has been one of the best work experiences for me as far as having great bosses with firm ethics. People here are so trustworthy I often leave my purse out at my desk with no fear.

The Original Report is NOT true

AUTHOR: Richard H. - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 19, 2011

I was directed to this website by one of my employees who knew that in 2010 we had contracted this company to process our GSA submission. She sent me this link and asked me what I thought, should we stop using this company in the future? It was an important question. We already received our GSA Contract but now we're using them for marketing.

Our business with this company goes back to the summer of 2010 and they called us out of the blue seeing if we were interested in government contracts. I reluctantly got on the phone figuring I'd be off in two minutes. Guess I was in a good mood that day. But the phone call wasn't what I expected. Iit wasn't the usual bull I got from other companies pushing GSA schedules. And believe me, these guys werent the only ones who called me. I must have got 7-8 phone calls from different companies the past two years. Seriously some of these guys are pushy and full of it, but this company was different, more human.

I drove the account rep crazy with questions  but she never got impatient and really took her time to explain everything. I think the great part was that she didnt oversell. In fact she was kinda discouraging me at times asking me if my company could really handle the responsibility of taking on government contracts. Well this went back and forth for a couple weeks and I decided it made sense to do it on our own rather than use this company, or any company for that matter.

Well that didn't last long. The girl who works for me went nuts trying to figure out all the bull the gsa wants in the application. After about a week she was ready to quit and she's a d**n good employee! So I bit the bullet and called nucenturies again. And they were nice about it. Didn't raise the price on me even though I'd driven them nuts, but they did have a few laughs at our expense for giving up on doing it ourselves.

I paid them to produce and submit our application. That still wasn't an easy process. You got a lot of stuff to give them and the Dunn and Bradstreet stuff was a pain in the butt, but they were real helpful and there processors did a good job. After less than a month we had the whole deal ready to go and they submitted it to gsa.

The waiting drove me nuts. The government is slow as hell but thats not anyone's fault. Just the way things are. After about four months we finally got notice of something we ended up calling the negotiations. Basically you have a threeway phone call with your account rep for this company and the officer from GSA to go over prices and details of the contract. I was worried about this part because they wanted me to lower prices which I had already made really low. But we played a little hardball in the negotiations and it worked. I think this company has a pretty good relationship with the people from GSA so I guess that didnt hurt in the negotiations.

Soon after they called us and notified us that we were approved! So now we're on schedule but not really sure of how to go about getting contracts. So I called this company and said what now? They gave me over to a different account rep who specializes in marketing to the government. I ended up on the phone with this guy for about 90 minutes!

I understood after that. Getting a gsa schedule wasn't enough. We needed to put ourselves in a position to be noticed otherwise we wouldnt succeed and it would be a waste of money. I could hire fulltime people to do my own marketing or I could hire someone. And since this company treated me right in the application process I decided to stay with them for the marketing.

Its only been a few months but so far so good. They have showed me how to locate the bids that made sense for our company. And the business is starting to come in. Nothing huge yet but its happening and building up.

So I'm not letting this bull report keep me from a business relationship with this good company. They have always treated me right and I think other businesses out there need to know the facts rather than what's claimed in the original report here.

The fact is that this company is not dishonest. Quite the opposite. They produce what they claim and are still doing it for my business.

Update about this company

AUTHOR: Satisfied Customer - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, April 18, 2011

I just wanted to update people about this company. They're still using me as a reference and just got off the phone with one of their new clients about 30 minutes ago. It's good to know that a good company like this hasn't been put out of business by the original post here at Ripoff Report. After talking with employees their it looks like the original post about them scamming somone out of 7 grand was posted by a competitor rather than a real business.

I appreciate the service Ripoff Report provides and its a good thing in a lot of ways. But it seems really unfair that an innocent company like this can be dragged through the mud when everyone knows the original post is B.S. I wish Ripoff Report had the resources to investigate every Report and take down the stuff that everyone knows is false.

But its been good to find out that the negative publicity here is not only not true but not even posted by an actual customer. I'm glad I was right about this company. They are reliable and trustworthy.

This is nothing like the Nu Cen-tury Inc that I dealt with

AUTHOR: Satisfied Customer - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, April 08, 2011

This is nothing like the Nu Cen-tury Inc that I dealt with. I was directed to this Ripoff Report by a business who is a
prospective Nu Cen-tury client. For the purposes of full disclosure, I contracted Nu Cen-tury Inc to process our companys GSA application in the summer of 2010. We paid about HALF of the $7,000 that this guy claims he was charged. Nu Cen-tury does NOT charge $7,000 to process a GSA which is your first signal that the first post above makes no sense.

Part of my agreement with Nu Cen-tury Inc was that if they got my GSA Contract approved before the end of 2010 that I would agree to be a referral for them. This was informal and something I said as my way of trying to get them to work harder on my application. To their credit, they delivered what they promised and submitted our materials relatively quickly. We were approved about 5 months after the whole process started which was not ideal but it was pretty darn good.

So I now allow them to use me as a referral. Yesterday, I got a call from a company which was a prospective client asking me my opinion of Nu Cen-tury Inc. I told him of my favorable experience and he said that he  was having his doubts because of negative information he found on Ripoff Report while doing a Google search. So I went and checked this site out and I was disgusted by what I read.

The person who wrote the original post either processed his GSA through a different company and has them confused with Nu Cen-tury, or hes someone with a selfish agenda who is lying on purpose to hurt their business. There are no other possibilities here. The company that I worked with would NOT screw someone over like that, it just doesnt make sense considering how well they treated me.

Well I found out this morning that the guy I spoke to yesterday had reached a decision to NOT use Nu Cen-tury because of what he read here. So this dishonest report above definitely cost Nu Cen-tury Inc a client it deserved, and also cost a good business a chance to contract with a reputable company that would have done a good job for him in securing his
potential GSA Contract.

And it bothered me that two seemingly good guys both lost out because of the dishonest actions of the person who made the original post here on Ripoff Report. So thats why I decided to come here and provide a Rebuttal. Its about time someone told the truth and the truth is that Nu Cen-tury Inc is nothing like the company described in the first post here. And I would know because Ive dealt with them for nearly a year now.

stay away

AUTHOR: the honest answer - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 16, 2011

This company does not operate by any normal standard. They make the employees pay for their own "training" ,this might explain the heavy turn over, and they limited what you can do, this keeps the very few that do make a living, in control. So I can imagine what happens after they get your money and signed contract. This place is full of anti government sentiment and tea baggers, yet the hypocrisy of them making a good living because of a government program is sad. Its one thing to start your own business, its another to know how to do it. This includes the fundamental rule in running your sales room..The sales people are your bread and butter, give them a higher priority than administrative, managerial personnel, other. Take care of them and your business will take care of you. If a company is careless and un attentive to its employees, just imagine how they would traet a business. P.s. You get what you pay for.
