Our 2005 Saturn Relay was repoed by Nuvell in August of 2012, told us EXACTLY the same thing as another posting on here: you have 15 days to pay and collect your car, but when we went to get it TWO DAYS LATER they gave us a run around with phone numbers, finally told us that our car was moved the very next day from collections from Fort Wayne, IN to Detroit, MI. That night we got the car, after paying over $200 more than they told us it would be (came to $2000 with all their little "fees" and only 2 months behind which is $770). When we got to the yard, the guard told us "good thing you came right up because they are setting to move the car for auction tomorrow morning." Mind you, this would be only three days from the date of collection, so if we had to wait the full 15 days that we supposedly had to get it, it would have been long gone and sold, and they would have had our $2000 to boot, because they refused to tell us the location of the car until we had Western Unioned the money to them. They were fully prepared to rip us off and steal the money and the car to boot. Now, come November, we are behind two months, thanks to the 2k we had to come up with, and they call every hour, literally. Problem is, my wife is disabled, totally. We keep telling them not to contact her number, just contact mine, and they refuse. I have spoken with a Mrs. Shearer on a number of occasions, as well as her supervisor, "Larry" who assured me that (a month and a half ago) the contact number would be changed within two days. Today they called again. My wife's phone. She was in tears and shaking because Mrs. Shearer kept hounding her as to when she was sending the money. She told her her husband sent a check the day before. Mrs. Shearer said that was not an option, and insisted she tell her the location and color, make and model of the car. My wife was crying and telling this woman over and over that she didn't know, so Mrs. Shearer said she was stupid if she didn't know the color of her own car. my wife finally said Mrs. Shearer was retarded because she was not listening at all, and hung up. They are coming to get the car again today because my wife could not answer all of this woman's questions. We have freely told thm over and over the number to call. Oh, and "mailing a check is not an option for you, why would you make online payments all this time and now maill a check?" To which my wife had responded I don't know, I told you I can't legally handle any of the money issues anymore, please call my husband's number. Mrs/ Shearer then claimed that the number had never been changed, that we had never reported a different number, that we were lying. Filed a report with the FTC to which they responded that they could add on any fees that they wanted to with the repo.

and only 2 months behind
- Really you were ONLY two months behind?  Just how far behind do you think you should be before they can repossess your car?

Interesting how you were complaining about having to pay $2,000 to get your car back when you your back payments were only $770.  The interesting part is that it took you only 2 days to come up with this $2,000.  How come you didn't put the same effort into getting only $770 BEFORE they repossessed the car and save yourself over $1200(which would be enough for about 3-4 months of payments)?  Don't worry you don't have to answer...the reason is very obvious.  You like most debtors try to gamble with their car and keep from paying them as long as you can, unfortunately you lost the gamble.

Now, come November, we are behind two months, thanks to the 2k we had to come up with,
- Well it would have only been $770 if you took care of your debts when you should have.  If history repeats itself you can expect your car to be repossessed in a few days. Of course if it really repeats itself you will instead of paying the back amount owed before they do, you will magically come up with another $2,000 to pay them after they repossess it.

Although you do have another possibility.  If they do repossess it.  Perhaps you should look into your state laws.  As that 15 day requirement you mentioned is most likely a State Law, where if they sell it before that time you may be able to take action against them in Civil Court(and you would probably have no less than a dozen attorneys breaking down your door to take your case).  Of course if they don't sell the car and actually follow the law the only thing that would happen is that you would owe additional storage fees.
