I recently learned that my Ex-Wife remarried 3 years after our divorce in 1995 and was collecting Alimony through the NYS Child Support Processing Center for 14 years after being remarried in 1998. Does NYS have an obligation to verify Marital Status when the final judgement of divorce indicates cessation of Alimony upon remarriage. Is my recourse throuth NYS Child Support or would I have to seek redress directly with the offending party?
