12/17/2012 I wanted to buy a mobile home so I looked online to find some to go look at with my family. I came to the Oak Creek Sanger (TX) site @ http://oakcreeksanger.com/confirmatin-travel.asp. There I saw their coupon for $20 in gas expenses. I called and spoke to Chris LaVornia (sp?) and he told me that I would get the $20 the same day I came. So I asked what time they closed as we had Christmas shopping to do first. He said as long as we got there before 6p that would be fine. We got there about 5p and Chris immediately walked us back to his office. He wanted me to right then and there fill out the finance form. I told him I wanted to look at the mobile homes first to see if I liked them. He looked perturbed and walked us outside. He then told us their electricity was not working in the homes that day, so the mobile home he showed us was pretty dark inside. We were bummed as we really wanted to see the insides of them.  I told him if he would have told me there was no electricity in them I would have waited until they did so I could see them. He then asked me to come back in his office to fill out the finance forms again. I told him that I still did not get to see any homes yet because they were dark inside. I then asked him to redeem the $20 in gas money as promised. He looked more annoyed, then told me the finance mgr. had already left for the day and so I couldn't get it. When I asked him why he did not tell me when the finance mgr was leaving on the phone so I could come earlier he just stared at me. When I told him I was upset that I was not getting the $20 as promised but had done my part to get it, he told me he would mail it to me in the next couple of days if I would just sign the coupon paper. I told him it was over the visor in my car but he told me he also had one. When I went to sign it, I told him I did not want my signature mistaken to mean I received the money because he knew I clearly hadn't. He said my signature proved that I was there and that was how I got the money and if I didn't sign it I would not get the money, so I signed it. Well, I did not get the money as of 12/28/2012 so I called and spoke with the Mgr. Chris Milligan and told him what was going on. He then told me to hold on and then put me through to Robert the finance mgr.  After Robert made lots of excuses including how busy they had been and had not gotten to it, he then told me he now had my $20 in his hands and I should be getting it in a few days. 1-9-2013 I have not received it as of today so I called again and spoke with Chris LaVornia (sp?) the man we saw on the day of our visit. He was very rude and blunt and told me they would get the money to me. When I asked him when, he rudely asked for my number and that someone else would call me back. I told him if I did not hear back from someone today, I would take further action and report this as a scam. He then rudely started blabbering and then when I responded to what he was saying he talked over me. He even said he did not know why I was even complaining! I told him because I was told I would receive $20 on the day of the visit then when I didn't, I was told I would get it in just a few days and now over 3 weeks later I still had not gotten it and it feels like it is a scam! He then told me to, 'Go right ahead! You get you an atty.' I told him I was not getting an atty, but that I would let the public and the press know that Oakcreek Sanger did not honor their word! He then said angrily, 'You know what? Why don't you just go ahead and let them know...you just go right ahead!' and then hung up on me. I feel they should have to honor their word and pay me the $20!
