Oakwood Oakwood liars and thieves ripoff Greenvile, Bristol North Carolina Nationwide

On August 2 I received a letter from Pitt County Tax Collectors informing my husband that he owes taxes on a mobile home for the years 2000-2002. Problem is that in 2000 my husband and his brother signed this trailer back over to Oakwood and were guaranteed that the only penalty for turning this home back over to Oakwood would be they would lose any equity in that home.

Oakwood requested the home remain in the same location so it could be sold, my brother and brother in law were both agreeable. We have not heard anything from this trailer since the date that document was signed until this past week.

I contacted the tax office in North Carolina, they informed me that I would need documentation from Oakwood stating that this trailer was signed back to them. When I finally was able to contact someone with Vanderbilt mortgage the informed me that Clayton had bought Oakwood in 2004 and do not have records prior to that year. When I asked if there was someone else I could speak with I was told that Oakwood is no longer in existense and I would have to make arrangements to pay the taxes.

I know that there has to be someone that I can talk with to get this straightened out. Any information anyone has is greatly appreciated.
