 Obriens Aveda Institute waits for student grants and loans to come through and then makes up reasons to kick you out. For me it was because my pupils were dilated. I tried explaining I'm medicated, I have kidney disease, I'm on Welbutrin, but they still followed me to the door to make sure I left. Of course I'm still stuck paying back the loans and I only had 6 weeks until graduation. Then there is the misappropriation of funds. Aveda claims that our kits are so small because the rest of the money we paid in tuition went for product that we use on clients who come in every day but at the same time the clients also get charged for the product. How can they charge students and clients? It's illegal to get paid twice for the same service. Whenever the state comes around to inspect, Obriens gets a phone call first warning them that the inspectors are on their way because someone who used to work at Obriens Aveda Institute now works on the state board. So nothing is ever done about this dump that needs to be shut down. Half of the time students dont even have an instructor, they are just winging it from a text book alone and hoping to get it right. Dont waste your money here. They are thieves and con artists trying to line their own pockets and don't give a d**n about clients or students.
