Ocean Brite Systems Bad product, bad service, tried to rip me off on underwater strobe Paso Robles California

I called this joker on the phone, asking him about his "affordable digital underwater strobe" package. He spent 20 minutes telling me about the high quality and about how happy I would be with it, and if I did not think it was a great item, I could return it.

I got the item, which was a joke. The strobe itself was a cheap, bottom of the line, piece of junk that would barely illuminate a trash can. The "Tray" was a piece of cut out plastic that cost 50 cents to make, if anything. The "arm" was a piece of flexible plumbing that couldn't hold its form at all - so had I used this thing underwater, I would never have been able to focus the crappy strobe.

Essentially, this was trash and I paid $400 for it.

Not for anything, but there was no discussion of shipping (although I didn't particularly mind paying for shipping), but the shipping cost was inflated and also there was a "handling" charge added to the price.

When I called to return the item, this joker then tells me that there is a restocking fee. The only time I learned of this was when the item arrived, and it stated this "policy" on the invoice.

His product is junk. Biggest problem. He has to know his product is junk, otherwise, why have a punitive restocking fee?

I got my money back, because Citibank is really good about this stuff. But, he now states the restocking fee on his website, so I don't know if buyers would have the same argument that I did. Trust me, this stuff is trash that I wouldn't use in my swimming pool, let alone on a dive trip.
