Old Dominion Freight Line ripoff does not deliver merchandise Thomasville North Carolina

In Jan 2007 I purchased a mattress from a company in California. They told me it would be shipped by Old Dominion Freight Lines and the cost would $150 to ship it Dayton Ohio.

I checked the Old Dominion web site for tracking and the delivery date was Feb.1, 2007. When it didn't arrive I checked the web site for the latest tracking information and it indicated that it was in town and a deliver time was to be scheduled.

When I called the local ODFL office they said it was not here and they did not know where it was. I then called the company I purchased the mattress from and they contacted ODFL and told me ODFL said it was in Columbus Ohio and I would be getting it Monday Feb. 5, 2007. It never arrived Monday so I called the local ODFL office again and they told it was here and it would be delivered Tuesday.

Tuesday, Feb. 6, it never arrived and I called the local ODFL office again and they said it was not put on a truck and someone would be calling me Wednesday morning.

Wednesday morning, Feb. 7, I got a call from ODFL and we set up a delivery time for that afternoon. Wednesday afternoon ODLF called me and said it was not put on a truck and would not be delivered today. This was after they told me it would be! I told them to screw it I would come and pick it up.

The bottom line is I paid $150 to have the item delivered to my home and they failed to deliver the item 6 days after the initial schedule date, and it sat for at least two days at their local office waiting to be delivered. ODFL has terrible service, they are not reliable and it seems they really don't care how late they deliver the stuff they contracted to deliver. I will never ship anything with them again. NEVER!
