Olympic Propeller Prop Guard Prop Guard is useless Anacortes Washington

Never trust anybody associated with Prop Guard....The product is crap and awaste of you money.

Ordered my Prop Guard from Olympic Propeller and was looking forward to using it summer of 2014 on the Mississippi. After reading over and talking with a representative all seemed well, I believed him. Ordered it and it did not fit. I knew they had a 20% restock fee. Got the ok to send back and paid the 20% restock fee, shipping both ways. Frustrating someone hits a rock and they go out of their way to make that consumer happy. Nice.

Mr Lewis also has this incorrect post on The Hull Truth.  Here are the facts copied & pasted as reported to Ebay by Mr. Lewis: "Item disintegrated we it hit a rock in the channel...would like refund"

In Florida with a rocky channel and/or coral heads, a plastic prop guard, attached to the Outboard Motors lower unit and you admit to hitting a rock in the channel - you had an accident - at no time in the Ebay report was there any writing of propeller damage; however, in this post you report & picture prop damage - if you were now going fast enough in a rocky channel (as admitted) to damage a propeller as much as pictured, what do you think will happen even to a high strength plastic prop guard, it's not bullet proof when impacting a rock?? If you purchase a new vehicle, drive it off the lot and hit a telephone pole, do you think the dealer will refund your money or exchange it out because you had an accident? I don't think so - However, in the spirit of customer service, we offered Mr. Lewis a new prop guard at our cost, no mark up & Free Shipping to replace the one he damaged while operating his boat but he said "no". We also offer the customer a new alum prop to replace the one he damaged (again) on the very same rock, at our cost, free shipping with no mark up. We go above & beyond to provide the best customer service possible to assist our customers before, during & after the sale; however, we will not be taken advantage of by threats to damage our reputation over the internet by such irresponsible comments. 
 
I apologize for having to write this, I find no joy or pleasure in airing out issues for the world to read.
