The user juanfan19 was selling a collectors piano (previously owned by Evanescence's Amy Lee) on Ebay las October 2006. I bidded on it 3 times but did not win it in the end. A few hours after the auction ended I got a message from the user through Ebay giving me a chance to purchase it because the winner could not complete the transaction. The seller asked me to contact him on juanfan19@aol.com. I did contact him and we agreed on 7100 US dollars including shipping to Mallorca (Spain) where I live. He then gave me his full name, Jacob P. Anderson, and a First Tennesse Bank account number. I ordered a wire transfer from my bank and the money was paid into his account on Nov. 5th. He then confirmed the money had been received.

Ever since then I have sent him lots of emails requesting info about the shipping company and the estimated time of delivery, but he wouldn't answer. A couple of weeks after he sent an email saying the piano had been shipped and was at the Miami docks awaiting to be shipped. I replied back and asked him for the tracking no. and the name of the shipping co. He never got back to me. I then insisted and got another email from him telling me that it was difficult shipping the piano to Spain and that the shipping company would only pick up once evry two weeks and he had missed them twice....all this after telling me the piano HAD been shipped.

I then asked him to please ship it as I needed the piano as a Xmas present for my kids (he actually knew this from the beginning). He replied back saying he had sent it this time for sure and that he had made sure the piano would be here on time and that the shipping company would contact me next day with details of shipping and delivery. Needless to say that never occurred. I have been sending him emails for a week now with no reply. I have reported him to Ebay, you can contact them here. Jacob P Anderson also has a My Space page here

A couple of links that confirm Mr. Jacob P Anderson is not an honest person.

UPDATE

AUTHOR: Salvador A. - (Spain)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 13, 2006

I managed to call juanfan19 on his home number on december 11 and spoke to a lady. I don't know who she was so I left a message for him to call me back. of course he never did. I then rang his cell number a million times and left lots of messages with no luck.

He then found out I had phoned his home and contacted me via email. Here are the message he sent:

" here is the deal. for some reason the piano shipping company that was to ship your piano has taken my money and i cannot get ahold of them. they were to pick up the piano and ship it but they will not return my calls. I was trying to get this sorted out without worrying you that it was a scam, but as time went by it became apparent that I was going to have to get this sorted out some way and let you know what is going on."

I then replied saying a don't believe a word of that and that I was going to report him to the Cleveland TN police. He never contacted me again.

I contacted the police today Dec. 13t and
reported him. They where very helpful and said they would contact me soon with a report on what's going on.

I have gotten second chance also

However, it was from a scammer using the sellers name. The offer really looks legit. I knew it wasn't as I was the fourth amount bid from the winner. Upon looking at the sellers name on the letter, the feedback amount was far less than the actual seller had at that point.

In case you haven't figured it out

You've been scammed. He wasn't the owner of the piano. Anytime you receive an email after the auction has ended (and the reserve was met), you can bet your socks it's a scam. If I were you, I would contact the police in Tennessee, as well as your local police and report this fraud.
