My breakers were tuned off, but I'm still getting charged by Oncor Electrical. I been complaining about this matter, and Oncor is still charging me for KW's that I'm not using.  I can be out of town and they still charging me for KW's I'm not using.  My Electricity bill is at $620.00 a month now and I know I'm being charged too much. The people in the area pays about $250.00 a month.  Stream Energy put me on a 9.2% rate and then the bill increased by $120.00. What a headache and I'm so frustrated. I have referred so many people to Stream and now I'm devasted.

There are several things you can do to check your billling accuracy..

First read your meter the same day they usually show it being read for your bill.  Then read it again the next month at about the same time.  The difference in the two readings should closely match the kilowatt hours you're being billed for.

Second, especially if you're in a multi family housing unit, turn off your MAIN breaker and check to see if the meter has stopped or is still running.  If it is still running, your meter may be providing power to some other housing unit as well as yours.  A rare occurence, but it does happen. If you need to know how to read your meter, your bill may have that information or you can ask your provider.  Good luck to you in resolving this.

Please come back on Ripoff Report and let us know how it works out.

BTW, your provider likely charges various fixed charges on each bill whether you use any power or not.  It's usually listed as a "facility charge" and a few other fixed or variable charges.   This information should be explained on the back of your bill(s).
