Your first impression is that The One Spa Retreat looks beautiful, Audrey and her partners appear decent. However, in time you realize, nothing could be further from the truth!

In the time I worked there (several months), the staff who have worked for Audrey Hlembizky for years told stories of massage and aesthetic services providers not being paid, vendors not being paid, and clients being over billed,  in which a decimal error increased their credit card charge. I.e.: a hundred dollar charge "accidentally" became a thousand dollar charge. This happened more than once and it was always blamed on an employee. To my knowledge it happened a few times while I was there. I saw emails from one of the staff showing Audrey requesting the amounts to be billed, which as it turned out where decimally adjusted or certainly suspected of being so adjusted, at least that was the concerns of the employees, who ended up quitting or being "let go" because they were "sabotaging" the business. 

Listening to Audrey, everybody is against her, employees are defrauding her and if that doesn't convince you she will site personal issues and start crying. Dealing with Audrey for any length of time you get the impression you are dealing with some kind of twisted character out of a movie. You have to take notes, and double check everything she says. You walk away from a discussion thinking you have a reasonable answer only to check your notes or make a few more inquiries and end up at square one again.

Frankly for the pennies she pays and the fact her cheques are either late, bounce or are non-existent (especially when she no longer needs you or you refuse to do anymore work until she pays what she owes) it's just not worth it. If she likes you, you will be befriended which means you are less likely to lose your shirt until she decides that you are not useful to her and then you end up like everyone else, running after her for your money.

Months after I left, I was even called by a supplier because they were led to believe that I was one of the principals of the company and I was asked when the bills for the products would be paid, I explained that I no longer worked there, had lost money myself and referred them to ripoffreport. 

One of her long time employees was owed $4000.00, several times her paycheques bounced and when she threatened to sue,  Audrey threatened in an email to "destroy" this employee. I was informed of this by the employees relative.  

Her business partners are either the most unaware naive people on the planet or they are in with her. The most frightening thing about her and her company is that she continues to find people to work for her and suppliers to deal with her no matter how many she dupes. She is very very hard to see thru in the beginning. 

After months of working closely with her I was left with the distinct perception that she is one of the most slippery, double speaking, self deluded people I have ever met. In the beginning she comes across as spiritual and full of high morales, stick around long enough it's all a sham. 

The most extraordinary thing is that people who know her and know she isn't trust worthy continue to work for her some how deluding themselves into thinking they will be exempt from the consequences that others have suffered, it is one of the most creepy examples of denial I have ever seen. 

Do yourself a big favour, if you have worked with her and you have only done due diligence now, cut your losses and run!!!! If you are lucky and smart enough to have done due diligence before hand, consider yourself fortunate and stop while you are ahead.

The only reason I am writing this report is to warn any other self employed workers to steer clear. It's heartbreaking to see innocent people just trying to make a living be used, abused and threatened by this shewolf in new age sheep's clothing.
