I signed up with Onlinestoragesolution several months ago because they promised unlimited storage at a reasonable price. Everything worked okay for a month or so but, for some unknown reason, I was no longer able to access my server through their file manager (to change user details, etc.) I soon found out that they defined unlimited storage as 500 gig (and to make use of more than 2gig of storage space, FTP access is required) and having gotten close to exceeding that, I decided to purchase a new server, to which I gained file manager access (but not FTP access to despite the promise that this is included) I emailed them for assistance but received no answer and, only after making myself a pest with the emails, did they finally respond.

Their solution was to provide access to file manager on a new server while leaving my FTP access on an old one. As a result, I cannot access the files on the server that I have FTP access to with the file manager. I tried to access the new server by FTP but constantly get an error "Sorry Invalid Address Given".

I contacted onlinestoragesolution for assistance at the email address they set aside for that purpose. I did get some response but the suggestions given never helped resolve the problem and I am still stuck with file manager access on two servers (but no FTP) and FTP access on a separate server. What I really want is to have both file manager and FTP access on the two servers I bought.

I think that the problem there is the quality of customer service. From the responses of the manager there (Chris), I feel that his intentions are probably very good but the staff that he has working with him are essentially clueless (as their email replies show). Perhaps if customers could contact Chris directly by email, many problems could be fixed. If Chris can't or doesn't want to do this, he needs to find some better customer service and repair technicians or his company will get even more complaints and he will end up without a company, the loss of his investment, and a bad reputation.

ONLINE STORAGE?

AUTHOR: Jim - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, July 17, 2010

I recently bought a one terrabyte extrnal drive from best buy,  FOR $100, if these folks won't store but 500 GIG you'd be better off buying one too.

Plus any kind of Online storage is just begging for hackers to steal all your info.

I'll keep my storage myself, thank you
