OnLingo was a ripoff for me as well. I was hoodwinked by a Lap Top promotion before I knew it, OnLingo was one of the so-called lower of the rest of the alternatives. Now I'm being billed $75.78. They're crazy! Truly a false since of advertising.

OnLingo didn't present its fine print nor did I search for it. If the fine print would have been visible I would have read the print and canceled the order. I beleive that all online businesses should be upfront with the fine print so that a person can truly decide if they want to make a commitment to the terms and conditions.

We have reviewed your account and show that you have been refunded.

When you initially placed your order on 8/8/06, you did have to check a box stating that you had read and agreed to the Terms and Conditions before the order could be processed. These terms are available in several places on our web site, and it is also stated in your confirmation email and on the package that this is a 10 day trial and that you need to cancel your subscription to avoid being charged at the end of your trial.

When you contacted us on 9/1/06 you had already been billed for the level 1 lesson since your trial period had expired and we had not heard from you to cancel. Upon hearing from you we cancelled your subscription and you had the option to either return the shipment for a refund, or keep the shipment and receive a partial refund of $40.00. You chose the $40.00 refund which was processed onto your account, and you were sent an email to advise that this had been done.

Your account has been closed and there will be no further charges or shipments. Below is a copy of the Terms and Conditions which you agreed to at the time you placed the order.

Onlingo Customer Service

Below is a copy of our Terms and Conditions for your convenience:

When you order your free trial of Onlingo, we ship you the Onlingo level one lesson (3 CDs). You will then have 10 days to decide whether you would like to keep the level one lesson. If you choose to keep the level one, you do not need to do anything further, and we will bill your credit card just $69.95 once your free trial has expired. Or, you may cancel your subscription at anytime during your free trial by calling the customer care number on the back of the product or canceling online at our customer service website listed below. If you cancel before the free trial has expired, you will not be billed further, and will be able to keep two of the three CDs. The other CD you must return in avoid being charged for the entire lesson. Again it's your choice - you choose which CDs you wish to keep!
As long as your subscription is active, we will send you a new lesson level each month, and we will bill your credit card $69.95 plus shipping and processing for each level. Each lesson contains three CDs. If you do not want to continue receiving new shipments, simply call the customer care number on our package or contact us through the site below. Best of all, you decide how many lessons you can learn
With your second shipment, you will be eligible for a bonus gift. Once we ship your second lessons you will receive instructions on how to receive the bonus gift.
Note: You must contact customer care using the number on your package or the website below to cancel your subscription. Simply sending the CDs back without contacting customer care will not update our systems, and your credit card will be billed. We will not refund any shipping processing charges or accept any refused packages marked return to sender.

All sales are final.
All California residents are charged 8.5% sales tax.
Refund Policy
No refunds will be granted 30 days from order date.
Any Returns are subject to a $19.95 restocking fee.
