I participated in OnLingo learn Spanish for free offer. At first it looks as though all you have to do is pay the $6.95 shipping and processing fee, but this is only a way to get hold of your credit card information so that OnLingo can charge you a unreasonable amount of $59.95(which is nonrefundable once the trial period is up, even if you don't receive any more CDs).

It is unclear what the money is for but you can be sure after the shock settles in that you will be charge $60 monthly and you will receive 1 CD. That is right, 1 CD A MONTH FOR $60. None of this is evident in the offer. the catch, it is buried in the terms and conditions, which many unsuspecting customers will check happily that they have read.

Once you realize your mistake, THERE IS NO REFUND. You can cancel your account but OnLingo will not refund your money. So there goes $60 for nothing. The biggest rip-off if i ever saw one. The rep. sweetly says SO SORRY, BUT YOU SHOULD HAVE READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. OnLingo offers 3 free CDs, but in fact wants you to return 1 CD of your choice before the 10 days. It says you won't be charged if you do so but does not tell you how much you will be charged because it wants to charge you that initial $60 which it will not refund.

It is a little too late but beware of companies like OnLingo who hide important charges in their terms and conditions while it uses deceptive practices to separate unsuspecting customers from their money.
