I submitted the following e-mail to 'ComputerAssociates@onrebate.com' and to tigerdirect.com.

This is my formal complaint regarding your denial of my rebate claims for:

Although I placed my order in May, TigerDirect.com did not process my order for over a week. When my order was processed and shipped, the shipping document stated: "be sure the product is working and you intend to keep it before filing for rebates. Products mission UPC codes from the box are not returnable and will be rejected or subject to a restocking fee." I did, file for the rebates in less than 30 days from the time that my order was processed, shipped and delivered. When I filed the rebates, my rebate confirmation stated: "Responsibility to complete this rebate process is yours. To complete your rebate process for final submission (which must be postmarked by 7/1/2006) you must". I therefore took the mail to the US Post Office and delivered it to them on 7/1/2006 so that it was postmarked that day.

I purchased $939.00 of computer equipment specifically because the offer included several hundred dollars in combined rebates which made the price desirable. I consider your actions at this time to be deceptive and in bad faith. I am not a happy customer and at this time would never purchase from TigerDirect.com again or recommend the business to my friends and family. If this is not resolved, I intend to dispute this purchase to my credit card company because I believe if your policy is to delay processing of orders and then to deny rebates that you are dealing in bad faith, and therefore your offer was deceptive and fraudulent.

They have not made any attempt to resolve my complaint or even to justify their lack of good faith in over a week since I filed this complaint.

Well, it has been another 3 months, and to date I have received one $40 rebate into my PayPal account. I sent the information above re: my 7 rebates totaling several hundred dollars to Shakeitha who assured me that Onrebate would honor them. That was at the end of August, it is now late November, and six months since I originally bought a computer from Tigerdirect.com.

I only wish I had known about and read ripoffreport.com re: this company and its' shell-games before I ever did business with them. Run don't walk from any dealings with Tigerdirect or Onrebate no matter how great the deal sounds. I have never had such a bad experience with an on-line merchant, EVER!!!

I am interested to see if I can receive satisfaction with my complaints re: onrebate.com and tigerdirect.com. I am willing to give their representative the opportunity to get to the bottom of my problem and get my rebate processed and sent to me.

I am also curious to see if the one rebate that was not denied will eventually be paid to my paypal account. At this time I have not received any payments. I responded today with the following note to shakeitha.Redman@onrebate.com.
