I have been a rebate hater for years but I live in a world where they are a necessary evil at times. I have recently been robbed by OnRebate and Tigerdirect which appear to be related. I have seen other listings for these companies now that I have started looking. I wish they could be shutdown for their behavior.

My problems came after several successful rebates with OnRebate. After I had those successful submissions and had some outstanding payments I was sorry to see that they decided to stop paying me. I have 5 unpaid rebates from at this point and those include Rapid Rebates and standard rebates all to be paid to a PayPal account.

All rebates have been accepted and are due to paid but haven't with the exception of one which they claim they never recieved. I have tried to resubmitt this one but with no success. I can't return the merchandise because they have all my UPC symbols now.

2 Rebates were Rapid Rebates that are 2 weeks late since I recieved an email listing they I should expect them on 12/8. The other 2 that OnRebate acknowledges I have submitted for standard payment were due in OCTOBER.
I have all documentation from the company listing activity and copies of my submissions. They haven't given me any reason to believe anything they say at this point.

I have not recieved a single response from my emails to their company and my phone calls are no longer answered. I called 3 times today and got through the first time and asked to talk to a manager that hung up on me without talking to me after being transfered. Subsequent calls where not even answerred just disconnected. I was on hold for over 73 minutes total today.

Similiar service occured when I contacted TigerDirect for aid. I sat on hold for 46 minutes before I hung up to eat. I have had an email response from Tigerdirect but they say to go through OnRebate.

The practice of avoiding customers who have legitimate claims is totally dishonest and low. I hope someone has the backing to take on these companies and get one back for the little man.

Correction of informaiton;

I errantly called the OnRebate NO-WAIT Rebate a Rapid Rebate. The correct registered name is NO-WAIT REBATE. Kind of ironic that it is called NO-WAIT.
