I made a doctor's appointment to get a routine physical on April 27, 2017. I went into his office to discuss no specific issues but to get a full blood work panel and ensure I was in good health. The doctors assistant had already taken my vitals and when the doctor came in he ask very general questions, why I was there, if I had any pressing issues, all of which I answered no, just routine physical. The doctor looked in both my ears and said there was some blockage, to which I replied my ears feel fine, I do not stick anything in there. He said he's been doing this for 18 years and proceeded to grab a large throat swab  and sway my ears unwarranted and unwanted, therefore causing so much pain that I screamed and actually cried. From there the doctor said that it wasn’t normal to hurt so he will prescribe my some antibiotics. I told him my ears didn’t hurt, I wasn’t there for him to give me antibiotics and I was quite upset and crying. upon leaving the doctor ended up prescribing me 4 medications and upon receiving these medications I read another person’s name on the bottles. I notified the staff that I wouldn’t be taking these, she then crossed off the name in pen and wrote over the typed label refusing to print the new ones after I had already paid. then shut the window and walked away. I left crying and upset at the entire situation. One of the medications prescribed was an antidepressant, which was entirely not useful to me since I hadn’t even indicated I was depressed or anything remotely close to that. The next day, massive amounts of blood came from my ears overnight, covering my pillow and sheets. I immediately went to a different urgent care facility where the doctor onsite said that she believed my ears to have ruptured drums resulting from the physical performed by Dr. Kibri. She immediacy made a same day appointment for an ENT visit. After this visit I attempted to call Dr. Kabiri to notify him the issues and extreme pain I was in due to his negligence and improper use of a throat swab. I eventually connected with the doctor and told him I was scheduled to see the ENT next to his office and would expect him to pay my bills since this was a totally new issue caused by his negligence. He asked that I come by after the visit to see him and discuss the issue. That same day, I went to the ENT that same day wherein that doctor confirmed that Dr. Kibiri did in fact pierce my ear canals and with permission proceeded to pull several large blood clots from my ears and prescribed a costly antibiotic. After this visits I walked next door to Dr. Kibri and asked that a nurse be present the entire time for fear of what he might say or do. During this conversation he apologized sever times stating this hasn’t ever happen to him and that he would take care of my bills. I told him again, that the tool he used in my ears was not meant for that, that he caused me pain and unnecessary other multiple doctor visits and he was completely in the wrong for event attempting to take anything from my ears or stick anything in there. I waited a few weeks to see what the bills would end up costing from each visit. It turns out Dr. Kibir's office charged me not only for the two "surgeries" her performed by sticking throat swabs in my ears, his office also adjusted the bills to go from a $379 visit to over $1300 for a 10 minute physical! On the explanation of benefits breakdown his office kept adding services event weeks later to the bill for the same day visits that were not performed. I've made 12 attempts to contact him on his email, Facebook and at the office number with no returned calls. I finally went to my insurance company to dispute the bills and inquired about filing a neglect report on of their "in-network" doctors. Finally Dr. Kibri called me back after having my insurance call his billing department on my behalf. He apologized and stated his new billing system had problems and he would reverse the charges if I promised not to pursue further complaints. At this point I was so upset at the main I had endured, the medical bills piling up and his refusal to keep his word on paying the excess bills that were caused by his negligent actions. I made a vow to file as many reports as possible against him and let others know to check their bills, monitor what the insurance is being charged and warn them about his substandard care he provided.
