Option One Mortgage Ripoff Option Irvine California

Avoid getting your mortgage with this company. I was stuck with a very high interest rate - way too high for my credit rating. They have somewhere around a $2500.00 early pay-off fee. I didn't find this out until I went to refinance.

Customer Service is of little/no assistance. The customer service reps are all from India and difficult to understand. Also it is impossible to speak with a manager for any problems the reps cannot handle. Any issues must be "snail-mailed" to their customer service department in Irvine, Ca. They resolve any issues by sending a return letter stating that they have looked into the problem (which, in my case, they did - but did not resolve it!). I have no idea who the individual that researched my problem was, as no name or contact information was given.

I have since found another mortgage company and am relieved to be free of Option One. My only regret is that they did get a lot of my money!
