THIS IS 'CARY' YOUR FORMER EMPLOYEE WITH PART 2.....

last time we talked about the sex and boozing among the Options staff (and in the industry in general.)right after I left the company got bought by Trans Continental Records, Lou Pearlman's company, the guy who started backstreet boys and N'sync.

HELLO! doesn't anyone remember that neither of those bands are still with Trans Con anymore! the reason is big Lou stuck himself into the deal and made himself the 6th member of both bands (just like he's doing with O-town right now) so that means every time they play a concert and he sits on his fat butt in the audience, he's getting paid the exact same as the guys who are busting their butts in front of all the fans!!! that's insane. he gets paid a manager's fee, his record company gets paid when the records sell (and hello, they've sold like 100 million between all the bands) and on TOP OF THAT, he gets paid to be a member of the band when he can't sing a note!!!

no wonder n'sync and backstreet left. and this is the guy who's the new chairman. NICE.

Oh yeah, and Greg MacDonald, the president (and Lou's right hand guy), apparently used to represent a bunch of singers back in the 70s or something, doobie brothers, linda rondstadt- I guess if you're 45 years old those names mean something, but not to me. same thing- he gets cut in on all the deals for all these big bands they have on their label.

It sucks all the way around. the artists are getting screwed and I'm sure if they're affiliated with Options, the models and actors will eventually get screwed too.
