Orchard Bank - HSBC Bank ripoff bad faith interest hike on good customer no chg in credit rep Salinas California

A warning if you are an Orchard Bank Card user: They are in the process of hiking their rates without justification. My rate is jumping to around 28% for no reason.

Three months ago, they sent me another approved card with zero interest until 1/07 that will then go to 13%. The same credit rating that got me that card, they say, was their justification to raise my older card to 28%. Go Figure.

My old account has been opened for over 6 years with no missed payments or overlimits. They tried to get me a couple of years ago when the annual fee caused me to go over, but relented and backed off fee.

At any rate, I am concerned about the new card. And, no, I cannot transfer balances. They won't pay themselves. I suppose I could get a cash advance, but the cash advance % is 24%. No help, really. Luckily, I have not used the 0% much and probably won't now that I know that they are unscrupulous. I had been supicious from the get go on the offer fearing a bait and switch. Now I am glad I listened to that little voice in my ear.
