Oregon Home and Energy Warning to Others in Portland Area! Boise, Idaho

This company contacted us a few weeks ago. And just as the other people post, they called and sent someone over. We were looking for some new vinyl siding on our home with aluminum sofits. We had several contractors give us a price. This company was by-far the lowest. The sales person did an excellent job of tricking us into deciding on the spot. Using things like, "Haven't you been thinking about this long enough?" Then they came up with some discount all of the sudden and proceeded to tell us it was only available that month. They got on their phone and called someone to see if money was still available. After 1 minute on the phone, they told us we could get 1570.00 off the quoted price. 

We sat for a few minutes, thought about it and decided to do it. The company was adamant they needed some sort-of down payment. We wrote a check for 1900.00 to Oregon Home and Energy. 

What have we done? It has been 2.5 weeks and have not heard back from this company since they took our check. Someone cashed it. We looked online at bank records and saw it was in Fruitland, ID.

We thought this company was located in Portland. They told us they'd been here for 15 years. We discovered their in Idaho. 

Like others, we've come across the reviews. We're mortified. What have we done? They do not have a Contractor Number and the Oregon CCB can not help up. There is no way to get in touch. WE found the Idaho number and they tell us we're not real.

WE are warning everyone in the Portland Area about this company. This is indeed a scam outfit preying on older people. We beg everyone to do their research before letting these scum bags come anywhere near their home. I think we'll be seeing them on KATU soon.
