Sept 10th, Friday 2009. Piaget's Blanket President and Inventor 2day'd samples to Organic Apparel USA as confirmed over emails before a business trip to meet Akin Inci & Ms. Gaye of Organic Apparel USA. These 2nd sample sets were going to be made into organic cottons and made store ready by this manufacturer if approved by Piaget's Blanket once seeing the outcome of the samples due Dec. 29th. 2009.

A couple weeks later, I the president flew to meet these characters to approve the status of this manufacturer and the people to get a feel for the company. I saw or heard nothing wrong. Boy, was I wrong!

The holidays passed, I get very little feedback in between Sept-Dec 29th, only if I asked. In Jan. Akin I heared is travelling in Turkey and wont be back till the 18th. So I guess I have to wait? My samples have testing issues he says, then Akin doesn't like the embroidery...1 more week delay. No photos to let me see progress mind you.

Then Akin in February has a car accident on his way home from Turkey. But, Gaye and Akin say samples are done! He has to be there 2 more weeks. I ask him to send samples via customs. I have had enough waiting! Gaye calls back (his asst). and says they will be "stuck" there. Akin will fly to California straight from Miami and out of his hospital bed. (right!)

I say fine, I waited this long. Low and behold...Akin lost his luggage in Spain or somewhere he says, it didn't make it to Miami basically. And the samples were in there. So now he has to make more. That will be....you guessed it...1 more week!

My patent attorney has been involved with him via email/phone and he sticks to the story his one luggage is missing with my intellectual property. Thank goodness, I have the prototypes!
You can't trust thieves, it's not the 1st time, it won't be the last when you are a woman in the toy industry dealing with unprofessionals that are desparate.

Akin Inci does not deliver services or refund your money. Beware of sending intellectual property his way. He is bold enough to ask your patent lawyer " How do I know this product is even patent pending". "Any experienced manufacturer can copy this you have a youtube on it."

Sweetheart, that's why it is public, it's protected...learn the law if you want to do business. And calling someone partner doesn't mean they will be your partner...you wish!

Again, Organic Apparel USA needs to state to the facts. I am still unfunded my 2k for lack of samples they DID NOT make for me. It's been over 7months. They were fired in Feb. I have since moved on. My pricing has not been determined nor have new samples been made in such a short time from firing AKIN INCI. SO again you can see his lies here in this story.
He had his secretary call me to beg me to take off the BBB reports and this report and or else you would not send my "pretend samples". I told Gaye I would not do such a thing. I do not trust this company after hearing lie after lie after lie.
I asked her if there are true samples to take pictures, email them, email me the airline lost luggage claim, as well as Akin hospital stay claim for the lost time in the process. No response. Go figure.
Another scam to get me to run to my computer and claim we took care of this when really I am at a loss with the company or is it really a company?
I have filed a report with the FTC as well as the District Attorney's office in Florida to determine of Organic Apparel should be in business. This is unethical. To take money from people and provide lack of services and damage intellectual property.
I know my changes of gaining my money are slim. I know samples were never made. This is a scam.

We are deeply upset over Ms. James' comments and accusations. We understand that these reports should not include false statements yet Ms. James' report is full of false statements and twisted facts. First of all, she calls us "thieves." This is unacceptable. This type of language should not be allowed here.  She insults me and my employee over and over again, and we will take legal action.

First of all, everybody who works with us knows that their product is safe and secure because we require them to sign a Non Disclosure Agreement before they share anything with us.  This is a contract and we do not breach contracts. Her samples were at all times in our possession and never shared with anybody.  The only people who saw this product was our own employees.

Second, when Ms. James came to visit us in Miami, we told her about the complexity of this product and we were quite realistic that it won't be ready by Christmas. She in fact told us that it took her months to have the first proto sample that she shipped to us. In custom manufacturing, anybody who is in this business would know and acknowledge that there are unexpected delays and unforeseen problems. That is why we were honest from the very very beginning. Also, whatever we told her at our showroom or during our conversation is true. We never said we worked with Versace first of all, this is completely made up by Ms. James.

Third, Ms. James is accusing us of lying, but what she is referring to is not something that we would lie about. We are not college students trying to trick their professors for a missed exam. We don't need to lie about an accident or lost baggage. In fact, this is unethical and completely against our values and beliefs. Everything we told her was true. But what she is telling is not. Because we returned her samples-all four samples-sto her in their individual plastic bags. She claims one was damaged, but it was just opened to see the inner fabric. This is also very common in textile industry, everyone who has worked in this business would know. To replicate a product, you need to examine it, and the product we are talking about is on youtube as she says, please take a look at it yourself and see how complicated it is. We used more than 30 different fabrics for just one product. There are more than 25 appliques and embroideries on the product.

We took this whole idea as ours and believed in this.  We spent five times more than what we received from Ms. James because we truly embraced this project.  We did what we promised. We finished the proto samples and when they were ready Ms. James changed her whole attitude and behavior. What we understand from her last emails and phone conversations, the reason why she changed her mind last minute is not a result of our fault but the fact that she found another manufacturer that will make these products cheaper than us. And now she wants the samples and the sample manufacturing fee. We are willing to ship her samples but what she wants now not only the samples but the sample manufacturing fee as well. Why would we send her the sample manufacturing fee for the samples we manufactured and for an order that we will never receive? What Ms. James is doing right now is nothing but denigrating our name and company. Those who work with us know that what she is saying is not true, but our reputation is in danger with regards to our potential clients. Our attorneys know the case and they will take legal action unless Ms. James corrects her statements.
