On my recent Verizon bill it contained a charge from a 'Service Provider' name 'OSP Communications' for a call from 307-875-9931 in Green River, WY to my home phone in NYC that I supposedly accepted charges for on 1/11/08. For 12 mins for a total charge of $17.87. This never occurred.
When I called OSP Communications at the phone number indicated on my bill 1-800-736-7500 an automated caller ID answering system answered the call which captured my PRIVATE number and repeated my number exactly to me on the phone. (which is private). Then the machine indicated that they were an authorized billing center for OSP Communications and transfered my call to a 1-866-460-0837 number which immediately disconnected the call.
I immediately contacted my local carrier Verizon and spoke to the Fraud department. OSP Communications has a RED Flag as a RIP OFF Company.
I immediately had the Verizon Fraud department place a RE-COST on the charges billed from OSP Communications. I also had any late charges suspressed, and I placed a cramping block on my phone to avoid this from happening in the future. I also filed a legal action claim agaisnt OSP Communications through my carrier.
If you have been a victim of OSP Communications immediately contact your local carrier provider and have them place a re-cost on your bill immediately to prevent OSP Communications from getting paid for the illegal charges placed on your bill.
DO NOT WAIT. CALL IMMEDIATELY.
