Oswego County Child Support Collections Unit Overcharged 1.5 years of current child support Oswego New York

I have paid child support for 19 years. My son is 23 years old. Current support was terminated January of this year. He moved out of his mothers house when he was 18 years old, she never told anyone. He has been employed full time since he was 18 years old, she never told anyone.

He bought his own home, and has a wonderful life, again, she never told anyone. I am appealing the most recent court order. The hearing was held with out my input. I needed to point out to the hearing examiner everything she never told anyone....

I now have a 5,000 debt, that should not exsist. He never went to college, was emanicapted at 18. Has a full time job. And owns his home. I know the "system" is infaliable..but when does it end.

I have paid my support since 1987. My son is 23 years old, and because she never reported a change in circumstance, I have 2 more years of support payments to be deducted from my pay check.

So to everyone that pays:

Have your Modification for Support Petition filed atleast 60 days before your child turns 21, or have it stipulated in your child support order for an automatic stoppage when the child turns 21.
