Owens Corning Basement Finishing Systems- Lies to Customers, and to Employees, and fires the Employees when they get caught. They also owe me alot of $$$$ Hartland ,Madison Wisconsin

Anyone even considering working for or buying from OCBFS should not do so. I worked there and I know firsthand how they cheat homeowners and employees. I will gladly answer any questions you have, just post them here.

I know that they have charged homeowners for things that they do not install. I know that they insist things are building code rules, when that is not true at all. This is NOT Owens Corning, this is a franchise run by Steven Brooks. He has 6 of them in Illinois and Ohio, plus Hartland and Madison. This is a large scam designed to pay Steven Brooks, Chris Counahan (Sales Manager?) Scott Buckley (Hartland Manager) Brian Popp (Madison Manager), Mike Peck (Production Coordinator, Mike Estrada (Asst Hartland Manager) And Adrian (Hartland Production Manager). Pretty much everyone else gets screwed over, including some of the finest Sales Reps I have ever seen. One guy was simply amazing, and he got dumped too. They also owe him over $40000 in money they stole from his deals.

Buckley claimed there was a Justice Department investigation. Wrong. I checked with them myself. Just another lie from Scott Buckley. I even have a DVD of Buckley "Teaching" "The System" and telling the sales reps to lie. The reps didn't know they were lies. Chris Counahan wrote the lies, and All the Managers have to swear by them. This includes the Columbus Ohio office, Elgin Illinois, Spring Grove Illinois, and Madison Wi offices too.

None of the people you meet are Owens Corning employees. All 1099 guys. No women. No black reps. Discrimination? Thats the least of their sins.

They are selling a fabric wall with fiberglass insulation attached, and typically charging $50 to $65 per sq ft. That is about $650 for a 4x8 sheet. They use unlicensed HVAC people. They do hack work. They grossly overcharge for EVERYTHING. I will email you a price list if you care to see one. They actually make reps charge $422 for a PVC Pipe wrap, and had the audacity to fire a Madison Rep for "Overcharging".A total Joke.

Several of us who were lied to and cheated are filing a class action lawsuit to try to recover our lost commissions. We are naming every one of the names I mentioned, and more as parties to the suit. They really should do what they say. Its a decent product, and worth the $20 per square foot that it should cost. If it sold for that, I'd recommend it. If they paid their people, and their former people, this lawsuit would not be filed. Seems like there should be an offer made, don't you think? We do....
