On 2/25/2009 I took my PC to PC outlet to replace the hard drive I had a blue screen. Up front I was asked for a $ 40. fee for diagnostics. On 3/3/2009 I picked up the PC they had replaced the hard drive. Now we have $60. fee for repair and $79. for the hard drive. All total with tax $150.29.Due to my wives illness and doctors appointments I had to slowly load in all our files and
pictures a little at a time. I am not up to date on all the back up measures you can take . On 3/13/2009 fridayI was sitting watch TV when all of a sudden from the room were my PC is a loud grinding sound could be
heard. So that afternoon I took my pc to BEST BUY were I purchased it. I had it checked out and was told the noise was the hard drive it was gone. Saturday morning 2/14/2009 I returned the PC back to PC Outlet and related the problem. On Monday morning 3/16/2009I received a call from Macarena Valdez to inform that they would not honor replacing the hard drive because the PC HARD DRIVE HAD BEEN PHYSICALLY DAMAGED. I drove to the outlet right away. I was met by MS. valdez at which
time they had reach the conclusion the hard drive was bad and they would replace it.I asked how soo they could the download my files, pictures etc. She said they are gone because the hard drive is broken inside. You could shake it it sounded like a rattler. I could see from the way the conversation was going I was not going to get my any satisfaction.I took the old hard drive and PC and .left.

PC OUTLET SAN ANTONO TEXAS

AUTHOR: Senior citzen - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, March 16, 2009

After returning home with my hard drive in hand I called Seagate the
manufacture of the hard drive. Talked to the hard drive restore section.
I called on saturday afternoon o 3/16/ 2009 . Related the story of the
hard drive and could they retrieve my files. sorry no way, he asked for the
serial numbers off of the hard drive and said that hard drive was distributed
for dells PC'S a long time ago. More then likely were used and probably
bad to begin with. PC OUTLET RESTORES DELLS. I know I bought and old
dell as a back while my PC was in for repair the first time I took it in.
At this day and age it is hard for me to understand the taking a 78 year
old senior citizen and 100% disabled vietnam veteran to the cleaners for
a mistake they made.It must give this people a lot of satisfaction.
