Jerry, the owner of the company, makes promises on commission of leads acquired by associate. He does not pay an hourly rate to work on getting leads for his business. He stopped answering phone calls. Changed his password on company webaites. He continues to recruit associates that are willing to so call "intern" and learn about the trade. Don't waste your time thinking you will get your commission. It has been a year since I've received anything.

It saddens me when an associate would have a complaint about our company. We spend much time and effort training an associate to be productive and to be at the top of their field. There is a reason why our company is the number 1 restaurant brokerage in southern California. We have systems and guidelines in place which make associates productive if it is followed. When the associate does well, the company does well. It's a partnership.
You mention something about an hourly rate. We are all independent contractors and we don't get paid until we close a transaction. That is clearly explained to all associates, in writing. However, if you are an assistant, then you recieve and hourly wage plus bonus.
Additionally, all agreements are IN WRITING. An associate should always bring their concern to the broker to address. If an associate feels he or she is being "riped off" there is legal recourse. A court will uphold whatever written agreement there is between parties. To date, we have not had a disgruntled associate. We've found that if an associate is not productive, he or she isn't doing what the trainer instructs them to do. Perhaps discuss your issue with me first so we may resolve your issue. Your success is our success!
