ATTENTION !!! all consumers who are considering remodeling there homes or doing add -on work. Please beware of this company Pacificoast Builders Inc. and Help u Build Inc. owned by Ron Y Galam. He now has another company that he has recently started up.Please do your background checks on all contractors and there licenses at the CSLB,ask for all insurances,workers comp,bonds,and references to see there work in progress or already done.
This man left us in a house since Nov,2007 until now 2009, with no kitchen,and a house that had been almost completely demolished, we are living out of 3 rooms one of which is a makeshift kitchen,and 1 bathroom.The only thing that has'nt gone wrong with this mans work is the new roof as not leaked. Yet!
He took from us over $125,000 dollars of our money,and left us with 30% of our house done, the rest of the house that he had his workers do.We had to have redone by someone else. This man is a liar and crook on all levels.
We had filed a complaint with the California State License Board ( which takes forever) and had a professional in the industry come and investigate the jobsite. His report concluded that the job was 30% complete and that there was close to 80,000 dollars of damages and unfinished work. WOW! We hired an attorney to find this man.
Yes we found him and we wrote him to go to arbitration.Did he. No! He basically knows how to work the system in his favor, and he knows how to give the bird to everyone in the legal system. Even though he was bound by his contract for arbitration, and he abandoned the job,it means nothing. Not the state,the county,nor the city has any bearing on any of this. This man is protected because his company's are a corporation.
If anyone has used this individual and has had a negative experience please let it be known to us consumers out there. PLEASE!!!!

I worked in that property as a sub contractor, the customer signed as TC that's how i realized it is Taunia Colleen so it is the same person. This lady and her husband hired Ron to remodel their home in the middle of the work the bank terminated the home equity line of credit. They got stuck without money to complete the work. I remember how they beg Ron to continue the work and promised to find resources and money. They gave their own pick up truck as a form of payment. Of course they never paid Ron.
Taunia and her husband STOLE THE TRUCK from Ron's house and Burned it in order to claim it on the insurance. Taunia and her husband Bill were convicted In the Orange superior court you can find the info online!!!
Ron Galam was never paid for his losses and the Mcmullan's walked away with a balance of $48,000. I am working with Mr. Galam for more than 10 years, I know the case very well. Ron still paid all his sub contractors since they have families although he had a huge loss with these people.
Ron Galam is a well respected contractor and a designer in the home improvement industry. When I told him about this report he said that " he felt sorry for them and that they got what they deserve for being dishonest ". I remember Ron offered them a personal loan to complete their home but they decided to go with that way.
The Mcmullan's tried to file suites, complaints with the cslb but there was nothing wrong on Ron's part.
There was never any industry expert, since as a subcontractor I met with the building and safety inspector and passed all the necessary inspections. You can check it it's all public records !
I decided to give my 3rd party response as these people caused harm to Ron and tried to bring down his name. Shame on them, I will be happy to testify as a witness and protect the truth.
