A day late and two-thousand dollars down the drain. You think that looking a company up on the better business bereau will give you a leg up on good companies, but not always. Page Parkes Corporation has several locations and definitely strives in New York and Miami, but the other places that have schools associated with them are indeed and absolute scam. Place like Houston are not infamous in the fashion industry nor the acting community so how does a modeling and talent industry strive there unless they can sustain themselves with "new applicants." Rule number one, "If they ask for money walk away!" Well that's all fine and well unless they tell you you are "too short" or "too old" or "too young" and so forth for modeling but you "would be great" as an acting talent so why not give it a try? The truth is, it depends on what the hiring ad agency is looking for and the talent agencies just keep enough people in there grasp to sustain the demand. For the rest of the suckers they send you to a one day acting class, one day photo shoot, and then a one person interview.

The interview itself is a joke. One girl who knows she is just part of the scam and has no power to higher you gets you in front of the camera for your "commercial" and then asks for your model poses. Thirty seconds of "required" poses gets cut down to ten second so she can just get you out the door. A single critique sheet shows up in the mail along with a list of all the other places that will scam you as well to let you know that you weren't good enough. The scary part is the people who return eight months later to try out again.

Now, you might say "maybe you really didn't deserve it." That may be true. However, after seeing what my wife was capable of I truely doubt that. Her photo shoot produced some of the most stunning shots I have ever seen and I am not being biased (an outside company does the shoot not Page Parkes). She practiced her commercial in front of me several times and using the actual commercial she was mimicing I know she was better.

Be on alert! DO NOT SIGN UP FOR PAGE PARKS Co.! The only benifit you will get from them is some classes to put on your resume. Read "Dumb Dorra" report on this site for another example. Ageniceis with schools are a scam! You want to be a model, pay for your own professional shoot that provides coaching, and then apply at as many agencies as you want. Do not pay anything and don't take their classes. Go to a community college and get some real classes and you'll still save a ton of money.
