This company apparently bought debt from AT & T. They sent me a letter stating I could py 50% off the debt of 143.07. I have received these letters over the years, approximately every 2 yers if not more. I had asked AT&T what the bill was for and other collectors to no avail. I did not recall ever having bought airtime for a cell phone.

While writing a reply on the letter they sent me I remembered using a cell phone in 1998. I called Palisades to tell them this story and tht as I now rmembered and was never given an explanation in t he past I would be happy to pay the original debt of $44.??
The first person did not give her name and her responses were slow and uncomprehending. I explained everything and she replied well the paper says you owe 143.07. I asked to speak with a supervisor and she repeate herself. I asked again and she sais there were none. I said I asked to speak to a super, and have to admit my voice wasa getting angry, she hung up.

I called back and spoke to Christine who was more 'with it' . Had same converstion with her and received the samre thing about the 143.07. I asked to speak to a supervisor. She said ok, put me on hold then came back online to say she had one on the line for me.Novasha came on and in a singsong bored voice said ths is palisades and I am novasha. I asked her her position and she replied debt collecotr (something) I said I asked to speak with supervisor. She said what was my debtor number,. again I said I want to speak to a supervisor this is now the 5th request. She kept repeating what is debtor number. I raised voice, I asked to speak with a supervisor and that is who I expect to speak wiuth! abd her response was to hang up on me.

If they want to get these debts paid, when legitimately owed, masybe some respect to the person woul;d go a long way. (my keyboard sticks so sry about typos.)
