Our cousin purchased us an epay gift mastercard for $50.00 from: 76/Circle K #5019 @ 10255 Mission Blvd. Glen Avon, Ca 92509. Palm Desert National Bank is the backer of this card. The card will not activate and the phone number is nothing more than a vicious misleading circle that offers no help but back to a web site which refuses activation. The web site uses an activation code that is defunct and non productive. Therefore, the card will never activate just keeps telling one to try again over and over and over again. After checking via Internet, we discovered that this card is a scam/rip off. Emailed bank, "Call me - I want the $50.00 back, keep the activation fee that has already been paid on the card. Yes, I have all receipts."

The card has been settled

AUTHOR: Debbie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, January 16, 2011

A couple days after filing this report and placing phone calls, a lady called from epay who helped to settle what happened and why the card would not activate. i told her that the phone site was a vicious circle that lead no where.

She checked the card and called the the 76/Circle K #5019 @ 10255 Mission Blvd. Glen Avon, Ca 92509 where the card was purchased. She discovered that though the store was willing to take the money, the clerk did not activate the card properly (if at all). Yes, activation fee was paid ($4.95). Aparently retraining the clerksis needed at this store.

The lady from epay set up a meeting with the manager where we brought in all receipt, card, and card package with info paper. The manager was unable to activate the card b/c of time lapsed (2-3 days) from when the clerk was supposed to have activated it but did not.

End result was that the manager of 76/Circle K #5019 @ 10255 Mission Blvd. Glen Avon, Ca 92509 return the amount of the card ($50.00) but not the activation fee. That he said they had to keep...why I am not sure. After all, it was Circle K's fault for employing inept employees.

We are pleased the card amount was returned viacash.Young lady from epay - to you, I applaud for returningour phonecall and being tenacious about getting the store to return the money.
