Palm Harbor Homes ripoff unproffessional not true to there word Vidor texas

We are very dissapointed in the way business is ran in the Vidor Texas office. We found a home we liked and were pre-approved for the loan amount,went through under-writing and their loan company did not approve of the apprasial, so they got another appraisor that we had to wait months for. The appraisor could not find "comps" in our neighborhood. This also took over a month. They decided we had to buy a modular home instead of a manufactored due to the comp issue. We had to choose another floor plan We got another appraisal, and all was good the wait should be short since we already went through under writing WRONG!! We had to wait a few more weeks then I finally gave them a call to check the status, as usual they were about to call me.

The lender backed out, so we decided to try other loan companys. The salesman was supposed to submit our application to several other places and see if he could get us financed somewhere else. That has been a couple of weeks also I called to check status on that and never really got a straight answer, they would call me back. Yeh Wright!! So enough time has passed now that the leander of our land would let us refinance, so they approved us the the loan amount, but there was one draw back they do not pay in advance and Palm Harbor does not accept commitment letters. Makes you wonder whats up with that. It is all working out now, because we were approved for a construction loan, so we will be building a home instead.

The sales staff in the past six and a half months only called me maybe a total of 5 times, I had to call them every few weeks to get a false up date. I just want everyone to know how unproffessional they are over there and if you do decide on using them don't give the much time, because they will drag around forever. I have yet to recieve a notice from any loan company for denial of loan so it really makes me wonder. Just be careful and take there word with a grain of salt, because it doesnt meen much.
