Pandora Software/ Cure-soft Antivirus RIP-OFF Internet Internet

My computer kept popping up a message box saying my computer was infected by with a spyware called Spyware. I Spynow. I couldn't believe I had a virus with all the protection I have on my computer but I know that it happens sometimes.

I did several searches and scans to try and fine the virus with no luck so I clicked on the box which then took me to a website for this antivirus software that let you run a scan of your computer (BIG MISTAKE).

I ran the scan and it found 49 harmful viruses (this is when I really should have been skeptical). Panicked that I had so many viruses somehow I bought the software (3 yrs. worth).

After installing and supposedly cleaning my computer I decided to search and see what information I could find on the I Spynow virus (should have done that first and I would have saved myself alot of headaches and money).

When I read that it was a scam (along with the cure-soft software) I immediately notified Cure-soft to cancel my subscription and wanted a refund.

I then called the credit card company to try and stop the payment transaction (they are really quick in getting their money) but the transaction had already gone through and I couldn't dispute it until the card company received a receipt for the transaction. What I did do was put a hold on the card so no other transactions can be done.

I still am trying to get a refund from Cure-soft (after 4 e-mails and responses to them, which I have saved and printed every one).

I had to do a complete system recovery, twice, due to this software (and supposed viruses).
