Papa Johns Pizza Incorporated PJ USA JOHN SCHNATTER CEO false advertising willful intent to deceive the public lies Louisville Kentucky
On 2 FEB 2014 at approximately 14:00 hours PST, an advertisement appeared on Fox 11 Los Angeles prior to the Super Bowl game on TV. It was John Schnatter, CEO of Papa Johns Pizza Incorporated. He said: "Order a pizza now and use coupon code PJMVP and get a free pizza. There was no disclaimer to ask for details or anything to indicate that restrictions apply. I called Papa Johns Pizza for my free pizza as advertised. I was told that in order for you to get the free pizza, you must make a $15 minimal purchase first. This is not calling now and getting a free pics. This is 2 pizzas for half off at best. I have sent a demand letter for a free pizza. I wrote that if they don't do it, I will file a complaint with the California Secretary of State as well as the California Department of Corporations. I will also file a small claims case locally. Damages will be the price of a pizza, legal filing fees and punitive damages. I allege that this is willful intent to deceive the public and false advertising. 17500 B&P.
