On wenesday June 13, 2007 @ 10:13pm I placed an order by phone for the first time to papa johns pizza in fall river MA. After viewing from the web site what I and my 15month old were going eat for a late dinner I choose a pizza pie and an order of chicken tenders. How a peperochini ended up in my order in the box and to my house is what I'd like to know. My toddler son opened the box after it being delivered and had taken the HOT peper out of a pizza box where to my knowledge was a large PLAIN pizza and eaten a piece of this nice sized peper. Now crying from a Hot peper most adults wont even consume as well as myself my 1yr old son is in tears and looks to be in pain! Why was that there and its papa johns fault my son feels this harsh pain....

Never again!

AUTHOR: Adolph - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, September 08, 2011
After moving to a new area, I lost access to my favorite pizza source in N. Indiana. Landed in Florida, responded to Papa John's claim of "better ingredients".

Long story short, ordered from local Papa John's store for pick-up in 15 minutes.  After waiting another 15 minutes beyond the scheduled "pick up time", pizza ready.  Absolutely hands down the worst pizza I ever tried to choke down. Skimpy ingredients, tastless, greasy rubber cheese, reminded me of a frozen grocery store pizza, only more grease.

The frozen store pizza could only have been tastier. I'd drive the 1150 miles back to Barnaby's in South Bend for a good  pizza before another "Papa John's pizza".

You have got to be kidding!

First of all, why aren't you, the parent, supervising your child as to what he puts in his mouth? Secondly, why are you feeding a one year old pizza? How about something nutritious like fruits or vegetables? You are trying to blame Papa John's because they include a side pepper ( by the way pepper has 2 "p's") in the box?

I'm sure one bite did no harm to your child As for the enjoyment/consumability of the peppers, they are delicious. You should try one sometime. Everyone I know orders extras! Well now you know, next time tell them to hold the peppers!

Ok, everyone. Maybe youre overlooking a rare example of a gen-u-wine child prodigy here. Maybe the 15 month old future member of Mensa ordered the pizza, paid the driver, carried it into the kitchen while Mom was watching Days of Our Lives.

Standard Procedure...not for being a good mother though

AUTHOR: Cassieb21 - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, January 23, 2009

I used to work at Papa Johns for 2 years. It is standard procedure to put one pepperocini with each pizza unless specified otherwise. You can request online that you don't want one, but other than that it comes with the pizza. It's not Papa Johns fault. Plus like everyone else says, why the hell weren't you watching your 15 month old child!! I have 2 step-children, one that will be 3 next month and one that is 4, I NEVER let them serve themselves nor do I leave them unsupervised, look at that and they're not even mine legitimately. Grow up, start supervising your child instead of blaming the company that made your pizza.

That's A Good Story

AUTHOR: Cory - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 09, 2008

Be glad they didn't deliver a six pack with the pizzia. Otherwise we'd be reading about how the 1 year old or 15 month old, might have opened the beer can or bottle and drank some of it before mommy noticed. I mean give me a frickkin' break. What 15 month old opens pizzia boxes and serves themselves a slice? Did he pay the delivery driver and carry the pizzia into the house and set it on the table BEFORE he opened the box and got himself a slice? Sounds like a good story though and MAYBE you just might get a coupon out of it. Unless of course you set it down on the floor and he played in it. THAT'S a little more believeable.

Suggestion: Be a mother!

AUTHOR: Mandy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, December 08, 2008

I can hardly believe what I just read. You let your 15-month old child open a box containing HOT pizza, and your biggest worry is that he ate a piece of a pepper (which, incidentally, is not that hot)? I would be overcome with guilt wondering if I might not have caused burns to the child because I wasn't supervising him around hot food.

This is not the fault of Papa John's. Wake up and accept responsibility. This is one of the most ridiculous reports I have ever read. Some people should not be allowed to breed.

Each pizza comes with one pepperoncini unless otherwise specified to remove it from the box. If you ordered online there is no way for you to remove it. Best suggestions for further ordering. Don't use online. And it's not the companies fault that you let your child wander to the pizza box...it's yours. Would you blame the company if the child had pulled the pizza on his/herself? Probably even though you were the one that set it somewhere that will allow the child to get into it. Don't blame the company...blame yourself.

This is not a ripoff. I've worked at Papa John's for a year, and standard procedure is to put a pepperonici in every box. If you dont want a pepper, tell the CSR who takes your order. And watch your child. He/she is your own responsibility.

Well

AUTHOR: Sean - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, July 17, 2007

Why would you give the pizza box to your one year old son to open? Why weren't you watching him? Every pizza ordered normally includes 2 complimentary peppers. Also this is kind of funny because this peppers are banana peppers and they are sweet not hot. So this makes no sense. We have Jalapeno peppers but those are rarely given a side item unless someone requested them.

But the real question is why in the world did you allow your son to be able to reach the pizza box by himself with you not around to supervise? He could have pulled a hot pizza onto himself, pulled it onto a floor which may ruin carpet, or make a mess,or it could have cost you money for him messing up the pizza if he happened to dump it on the ground.

Next time be a responsible parent and don't blame Papa Johns

Amber...Why ?

AUTHOR: Jodi - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, June 14, 2007

Why would you let your toddler OPEN the pizza box? Where were you? What if your toddler would have been scalded by the HOT pizza or choked? Who's fault would that have been, 'Papa Johns' for making the pizza hot or for not cutting it up for him? I'm not trying to be hard on you, but you do have some, if not all fault here. I'm sorry for your sons pain, but YOU COULD HAVE PREVENTED IT!

Amber, ARE YOU SERIOUS?? You need to take responsibility for the safety of your 15mo old child!

AUTHOR: Steve - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, June 14, 2007

Amber,

After reading your report, my sides are splitting from laughter!

ONLY you are responsible for the safety of YOUR 15 month old baby. WHY is a BABY serving himself?? This is YOUR job to INSPECT and serve YOUR child.

What part of this is confusing to you? What you engaged in is parental neglect.

You should be ashamed.

This is in no way the problem or responsiblity of Papa John's.

WAKE UP!!

POSTED: Thursday, June 14, 2007

They always include peppers in the box. In the future, if and when you order from them, specify that you would not like any placed in the box (I do this when I order from them because I think it taints the taste of the pizza). And although it stinks to hear it, they're not really the ones at fault for you not watching your son.
