I entered a song writing contest with Paramount Song.I also have won the Directors Award.Big surprise.
A winner hasn't even been announced yet and I have been offered a discount on a demo and a contract for them to make a demo for around $180.00.If I win, part of the prize is a free demo.Why would I pay for something I'm hoping to win?
So I googled them and found these comments.I should have just put the song on You-Tube.Sad thing is I needed that entry fee more than they did.Live and learn.

Same Song Different Day

I entered the "Paramount Song" spring contest thinking the contest might be legitimate. But then the "Directors Award" came and then the songwriting contract. I've been in the biz for a long time and this is the standard song shark ripoff that has been going on for at least 40 years. My advice to anyone starting out or any experienced song writers is to avoid the whole website. All the contracts I have signed has been several pages long and had an advance in real money that accompanied it
Keep trying folks. Remember it only takes one song to change your life!!!
