I purchased a ticket to my third PRS Field Trip, which was to be held in Orlando, Florida from September 27-31st 2012. I paid $409.95 which included a handling fee of $9.95 for the ticket seller called Eventbrite. The ticket was purchased in June 2012. I had attended two other events with no serious complaints other than certain promised special events were cancelled and the previous event planner, who had done an amazing job at the previous event sent a tweet out stating that she would not be attending. That was curious, especially when one of the team, Mr.Joshua Light followed her tweet with one of his own. No reasons were given and the event ran extremely late and many events were changed last minute.

I was getting concerned when the usual pre event information and schedule were not forthcoming.  I booked my room at the Hard Rock Hotel, Orlando for nearly $205 per night. There was no discounted rate for our event so I used a Florida residents rate.  I had up until 48 hours prior to stay to cancel with no loss of money.  I am disabled and use a wheelchair and since most events were to be held on the Hard Rock campus, I thought this reservation would be the least difficult way to attend the events, and since my ticket included entrance to the Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights, it would be easy to attend. This ticket alone would have cost me at least $60 extra.  I started getting antsy and concerned when none of their forum moderators and administrator were able to get details about the stay, room discounts and updated schedule.  I ended up waiting until the very last moment to cancel my reservation.  I was one of the lucky few who were not left holding the entire booking or a cancellation fee of at least one night, depending on how they had booked their reservation.

On Wednesday, one day prior to the first event was to occur, an email was sent by Sergey Poberezhny stating that the event was postponed and if we wanted a refund, to follow the directions included.  He stated that he would be in touch by Friday of that week.

i am still waiting for that response. As of today, I have been removed from two of their Facebook group pages and suspended from the general forums for daring to ask about my refund. I had even sent several personal emails stating that I was in dire need of my refund to cover needed prescriptions.

I contacted Eventbrite and was informed that no refunds were due after 45 days since purchase.  This left me with no recourse since I had used PayPal.

To this day, I have been

Oh Marsha,

That was funny, and actually made me smile. I'm not quite sure what you mentioned has anything to do with refunds, but if it makes you feel better then ok. To answer your questions, I do not live in Florida. And I am friends with Susan. Is there any other unimportant questions you would like to ask, Marsha?

You can call yourself whatever you please

First off, Florida is a very large state. Polk county is huge. I have never, to my knowledge met any of the other complaint filers from any location. The fact that the field trip was supposed to be held 30 miles from Lakeland makes it a good chance that more local folks would have a chance to attend.

In fact, Lakeland is quite busy right now, as is most of Florida because of all the s****.. Done with you, but not with legal actions so be careful of what you write unless you wish to find yourself dealing with lawsuits and no PRS to back you up.

You can call me Marsha, Diane

Thank you for your comments, Diane.

It just seems strange that all of the original posters -- and you -- seem to be from Florida.  Lakeland must be pretty boring this time of year.  Perhaps you are acquainted with Susan/Lee?  Or maybe you have a closer relationship?

Hey Marshmallow...

What many PRS supporters are failing to realize is that it is ILLEGAL to not give refunds to someone who asks when a service is not rendered. I don't understand why you nor other PRS supporters don't seem to get this. I boggles my mind. I'm glad your satisfied with your experiences, but everyone may not feel the same. You can try to divert from the real issues here as much as you like, but it doesn't change the truth nor the facts.

FACT: Many people who WERE promised refunds PRS did not receive them amicably. Usually they were forced back by the credit card company.

FACT: If a refund is NOT returned, and said money is pocketed, this is considered freud. It doesn't matter what the fine print say (no refunds), it is still ILLEGAL to keep the money when services are not rendered.

FACT: If this action is transfered over state/international lines, this is considered a federal offense.

FACT: If refunds were given when people requested, we would not be having this discussion. Plain and simple.

So marshmallow, this sort of behavior is acceptable to you? If so, then who is the real sock puppet here?

They act like high schoolers

Even their employees dont support them. Their radio host and new event chick, Alex, has said that Ryan spends the PRS money on drugs (she's even seem him do it and went with him and everything) and probably pays for his own cancer treatments with PRS money. Thats why the checks bounce and that they have no money when they SHOULD have all the moeny people paid them, and should be able to give refunds. They also have like a secret group of fans that "volunteer". And all they do is police the PRS pages and block people who talk too much, or spy on other fans. They all just talk about who is crazy, but really, theyre all probably crazy to do stuff like that! Character flaw! What kind of business recruits the crazy fans with nothing better to do and asks them to spy on their other fans? They have like secret private FB groups where they all just gossip and display their weird fan heirarchy. People will probably attack this, but Ryan will read it and know it's true because he was there. I heard he even dressed up as an old man so he could go buy drugs without people seeing him. LOL. LMFAO.

Sock Puppet? lol, good one

I have never met Susan Grace, but would be delighted to.

My report is mine. It has nothing to do with her other than she too, was cheated by the same people as me!

My complaint is different, as I am unable to get a chargeback or other method of getting the refund PROMISED by PRS, LLC, Ryan Buell and Sergey Poberezhny.

I have never said that no one had a bad time, nor that others got refunds or funds applied to other things. I have stated that I have not gotten my requested refund. Can you not understand that I have tried every civil, nice way of asking them?? My attorney certainly does. He has copies of all the emails, statements from Eventbrite and Paypal. I don't want to have to go through this to get my hard earned money that I need for medical issues. I have no intention of ever attending any PRS event so I do not need a credit. I had several credits, stated by Ryan, and he offered me a comped ticket to the San Fransisco Field Trip but that was physically impossible to attend. I count the money lost up until then as a lesson. I have learned my lesson and will not give up until my refund is returned.

I do hope that they realize that I have the option of small claims court as I live in the state where the fraud took place?

Have fun backing your buddies, because as everyone that stands behind me has found out, once they don't think you can help them or be of use, you are cast out of the cult. Thank heavens for that.

Now, if they want this to all go away, they can refund my money. A chargeback on a credit card may or may not come from their pockets, but from the credit card company and we eat those charges in more fees. So, Susan's daughter is owed a refund from PRS. Then she can deal with her credit card. She is also allowed to assist her daughter, no matter what her age for any reason.

Keep my complaint separate because they are different complaints.

Lee is a sock puppet of Susan Warren

AUTHOR: Marsha Mellow - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, January 08, 2013

This comment really should be moved to the post of the other Lakeland resident who started this whole drama.

To anyone who is reading Lee's statement, many people have had wonderful experiences on PRS events.  While it is true that their director is ill, and that has affected recent PRS events, the overall experience has been positive for many.

Part one continuation

AUTHOR: Lee - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, January 06, 2013

Sorry, I lost Internet access mid report.

So, to this day I have not been issued any refund or even apology. I am apparently without an option with PayPal and using a debit card. If you read their current refund policies, they, PRS, LLC issues Zero refunds for any reason even if they cancel or postpone the event. This was not the policy when I purchased my Orlando tickets, and had not had any issues with them up until the Orlando trip.

I have never been treated as poorly or rudely by any legitimate company or organization until this happened. I have been called rude names for posting questions on the appropriate private forums and suspended from use. We were asked, in the email postponing the field trip not to discuss either the cancellation or any negative comments about PRS, LLC. Apparently they believed this was a legal move on their part. Had they followed through with their refund promises, and at least contacted those of us affected, this report might not have been needed.

Prs,LLC et al keep adding new events for those who have not heard about their policies. People have the right to expect honesty and satisfaction when they make a purchase.

Buyers, be warned.  Just because they "seem" nice on television's Paranormal State, currently in reruns on the Biography Channel, does not make them a good business.
