I saw an ad on autoextra.com and I saw an ad that said at Pars cars you can put at least 500 dwn and they will match your dwn pymt of up to 3000 dollars. They also had at least 5 of the car I was looking for. It was the perfect match for my situation, so I thought! I called and got a female on the phone that proceeded to tell me that that promo of 500 dwn had expired the day before, but she could see and call me back. And also on the ad they said call for pricing and when I asked she said they can't give pricing over the phone????? A week went by and another guy called me back. I thought he was calling me back to answer the questions I wanted to know. WRONG!!! He didn't answer any of my questions and tried to get my credit info over the phone, but had no answers for me. I told him to get back to me when he could answer my questions. A few days after that I spoke to another man, I guess he was a senior rep because he thought he could just not answer even more of my questions. He wanted to know that if he went on the lot to get the mileage I asked about and whether or not the RX 300 I was looking for had a warranty was I willing to come out and buy today or it would be a waste of his time. He went on to ask what kind of money did I have to put down!!!!! "Are you going to answer any of my questions?" I asked. HE HUNG UP THE PHONE ON ME!! The questions I was asking were simple questions that car buyers ask and apparently they have something to hide. I am so glad I didn't waste my $4.69 premium gas to go out there because they were all so unprofessional. I hope this helps someone because they really were frustrating.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

No prices listed = shady dealings

AUTHOR: Fivepointo - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 14, 2008

I recently called Pars Cars interested in a car I saw listed on AutoTrader.com, however it didn't list a price or mileage. I went to their website ParsCarsales.com and saw the car again and a tag that said "Call For Price". I did so and the first question I got was cash or financing, I said I'd have to know the price first but if I needed to finance I'd use my Credit Union. I was told a manager would call me back, naturally no one ever did. I called again and asked to speak to a manager and was told none were available, so I just asked for a price on the car I was interested in. I was told sales people didn't have access to pricing only managers did. 3rd call and a wait of about 15 minutes I guess it was a manager I spoke to, he told me they could not give out prices over the phone. I told the person that their web site says "Call For Price" and I wasn't going to drive 100 miles to get a price, that makes no sense. I said I'd look else where, he said "hold on I don't want to lose a sale over price". I replied "how can you, you won't give me a price to work with". Moral of the story I believe them to be a shady group, obviously they want you face to face to apply pressure. Avoid at all costs.
