My friend was in Passport and was ripped off so I want to report Passport as a business rip-off.

My friend was not given any financial info and did not know the company was doing poorly. No money in the bank means no training development, no new products, no news coverage or marketing... and basically means no business growth.

Passport has no leadership. Bo Short founded Passport and his troubled past is hidden. He was involved in past business scams - his own doing - and these problems are just starting to surface.

Passport products are terrible. I'm afraid to swollow any pill they sell. They sell Prostate Formula and Bone Builder Plus.

Training? No training at Passport. They have these conference calls that basically go over the same few points each time about Passport being a different kind of business. I believe my friend thought that meant something good. Shame on her for assuming.

If you can find even one person in Passport that is making $500 a month after 3 years make sure you see some proof because that person probably does not exist.

More proof Bo Short is not disclosing all the costs associated with Passport

AUTHOR: Randy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, January 25, 2005

And here is another example (proof) that Brian Johnson (MLMDojo) and Bo Short are not disclosing all of the overhead involved with Passport. As I stated earlier, they are both going around saying that the average cost of being an average Passport Associate is only $20/month when in fact that is a lie.

Take a look at another post from Brian Johnson's own MLMDojo website from his 8/5/04 post:

Start of quote:
In my first 90 day push I paid out around $1,500 dollars for leads and tools to market to those leads. I think I made about 2,000 dials. What have I got to show for it? 3 distributors who only laid out the $39 dollars to sign up...and didn't do a d**n thing. They didn't really understand the business..and they though I'd build it for them.

Needless to say I was feeling fairly pissed off...and terribly stupid.
End of quote.

Obviously Brian and Bo know the real costs of being an active Passport Associate. This again proves that it costs hundreds of dollars a month to be active in Passport. As a side note, please don't confuse being active in Passport with being successful in Passport. Lots of people have spent hundreds of dollars a month to be active in Passport but no one yet as been successful.

The lies Brian and Bo are spreading about the fictitious low costs involved with being active in Passport go beyond them having questionable character and low integrity. They are breaking the law and can be prosecuted if turned in to the authorities. They are clearly violating the truth-in-advertising laws.

These guys are cons and are cheating people. My proof is from their own websites as you can see above. You must carefully investigate Passport before joining. In fact, Passport's founder, Bo Short, has serious problems with his background too, which you can read about by simply searching his name on the internet.

Passport's hidden costs

AUTHOR: Randy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, January 24, 2005

Passport has a number of hidden costs that they never share with new members until after they sign up for Passport.

Brian Johnson, one of the Passport key leaders and a good friend of Passport's founder, Bo Short, is going around saying it costs less than $20 a month to belong to Passport. But that is not correct. Look at the text I copied from Brian Johnson's own website. This reveals how much Brian is actually spending in Passport for an item they never disclose (huge phone bills).

How does the average Passport Associate work from home? By contacting prospects thru phone lists that they have purchased. Are phone lists free? NO. And what about the long distance charges when working the phone lists? Here is a clip right from Brian Johnson's own MLMDojo website from his 6/22/04 post:

So below is the clip:

Start of quote:
AT THE END OF THE DAY:

I dialed 62 phone numbers from 2 different leads list around 1pm EST. (I'll talk more on where I get leads from another day)

Of those 62 dials...here's the results

I left 19 voice mail messages
6 numbers were disconnected
3 numbers were busy
4 call back times
6 were wrong numbers
11 were numbers dialed where no one answers the phone and a voicemail didn't pick up
6 people said flat out they were not interested.
2 people said they wanted to take a look at my Passport MLM home-based business.
End of quote.

Did all of these contacts have 800 numbers? NO. Did Brian call collect? NO. So as you can see with facts and evidence right from the text of Brian's own website it costs a lot more than $20/month to be active in Passport.

These guys are leaving out information when they tell people about the costs associated with being active in Passport.

It costs hundreds of dollars a month to be an active member in Passport. Like it or not, this is the truth.

Now the truth about Passport

AUTHOR: Dave - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, January 21, 2005

I have now read multiple complaints posted on this site and have yet to read where the supporting evidence can be found.

I have been associated with Passport for nearly two years and the claims made here about product quality, compensation potential, and business training are 100% false.

There have been NO reports of ANYONE becoming ill from the consumption of the Passport nutritional products. The report that claimed this is a deliberate lie planted by competitors that have historically used blogs and forum boards under assumed names to defame and libel the business reputation of the company and those associated.
There have NEVER been ANY complaints filed with Passport corporate offices. All Passport products are backed by a 100% money-back guarantee. Provide the evidence that there have been even one case attributed to product quality.

There have never been statements made concerning web site traffic for associates. Web sites are provided free to all associates in Passport. Associates are encouraged to direct clients to these sites through word of mouth and other methods of referral. Associates have NEVER been instructed to purchase ANY advertising and furthermore, have never been told that Passport would direct any advertising effort to their respective web site.

Passport is a privately-held company and is debt-free. These issues are routinely covered in the business overview conferences and specifically answered through Question and Answer sessions.
To the claim that no one is making money in Passport, I can state this is categorically untrue and a purposeful attempt to impugn the character of the owner and associates of Passport. I have made a profit from my Passport business every month from the first month of my business activity beginning in June 2003.
The various claims attempting to convince the public of impropriety or deception by the Passport company, it's founder and/or it's associates is the continuance of a focused concerted effort to influence internet search engines with blantantly false statements. There is absolutely no supporting evidence of the claims made against Passport.

Passport and the heavy debt load

AUTHOR: Sam - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 19, 2005

When I joined Passport I was told by Bo Short that the company was debt free. Bo Short lied to me. I found out after joining that Bo Short borrowed over $200,000 from friends (the Sweat family) and that Passport was tight on money because of that so many things that Bo should have been pumping money into had to be put on hold because of Passports large debt load.

Passport's large debt load is part of the reason why they have no training or marketing --- No money to pay for these things.

How can Bo Short call Passport a company? Lack of capital will surely sink Passport.

I was lied to and believe Passport is a rip-off. There is no way to make money in Passport. No one had and no one will unless a lot of changes are made and more money is pumped into the company.

Passport is a hobby

AUTHOR: John - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, January 17, 2005

Passport can only be considered a hobby. I worked the business and only lost money. I spent hundreds of dollars on advertising thru Google Adwords in an attempt to find new members but none came. Why did Bo Short suggest I spend all this money if he didn't know if these Adwords would work or not?

Now I have hundreds of dollars owed on my credit card at 18% interest that I intended to pay with my Passport profits (which never came). What a dummy I was to put faith in Passport.

Product Safety in Question

AUTHOR: Bill - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, January 16, 2005

I question Passport's product safety. I know of several people that have gotten sick using their pills. They sell vitamins and other odd pills such as prostate pills, but the types of pills Passport sells is not regulated by the FDA. I wonder if Bo Short made sure everything he sells is under the radar of the FDA so that he can make any claim he wishes about his products. I say yes, given Bo's shaky low integrity business background.

Also, all of their pills are generic and manufactured via processes and techniques that save them a lot of money to manufacture but product quality suffers greatly. We have all heard of vitamins that are so bad in quality that they don't add any health benefit to the consumer. Passport's vitamins definitely fit this description.

Passport also sells shampoo and conditioner. It is very low in quality. Really watered down.

Why anyone would buy this junk is beyond me. It is my understanding that the only individuals using this crap are Passport's members. At least that is what I understood from top insiders that I became close to.
