This is a letter that is being sent out today. Not only did this affect our new puppy but the new puppy gave all of this to our healthy 1 1/2 year old and I'm seeking all damages possible and also today 10/10/08 contacting all authorities i can find against both the Seller and breeder. read your contract closely~ Heather Brenner is the BREEDER and Patricia is the SELLER of these diseased puppies

October 9, 2008

Dear Patricia,

I thought I would give you an update on our newly adopted cocker spaniel puppy that you sold to myself and husband (Margaret and John Kraus) a few weeks ago.

Blu's first vet visit was on Saturday September 27th 2008. At that visit Blu was given an full exam along with his distemper, kennel cough and de worming and heart guard medicine. We took a sample of his stool and lab results to follow.

We received a call from our vet's office on Monday September 29th, 2008 indicating that Blu has Canine Coccidiosis I'm sure you as a breeder are fully aware of what that is and that if undetected Blu could die. As breeder you should take the utmost care with these puppies to ensure there health and provide the new owners assurance that all medical precautions have been taken.

After 12 days of medication I returned to the vet's office on October 8th with another stool sample for Blu only to find out that not only did Blu's stool sample showed Coccidiosis but now Giardiasis that was not seen on the first fecal test. My husband then picked up medication not only for Blu but our other dog Charlie as well, because Charlie has now been infected by Blu and also has bloody diarrhea and is very dehydrated as well as intestinal pain. This disease is also transmitted to humans as well, making my husband I susceptible to contracting this disease.

I can't stress enough how very angry and disappointed that we are that you would sell sick puppies to unsuspecting buyers and not worry about it, now both our dogs are now very sick and could very well die because of your negligence and plain ignorance.

I have enclosed additional vet bills for the office visits and medication not only for Blu but Charlie as well. I'm seeking full payment from you on the office visits, stool samples, tests and medication as well as at least a partial reimbursement of our initial purchase price of $300.00 for a very sick puppy.

If I do not hear from you and receive payment in full in the next 2 weeks I will have no choice but to seek legal action as well as contacting animal control and proper authorities in your county and state of Wisconsin.

Your total amount due to Margaret and John Kraus as of 10/9/08 is $ 313.00
Future medical bills for Blu and Charlie will be forthcoming.

She is a awful breeder

AUTHOR: sarah - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, July 26, 2011

She is a awful breeder.  True breeders care about their animals.  They do not sell sick animals.

PAT ROCKSTROH makes a living selling sick dogs.

Do not buy from her.  Run far away.

There are many legitimate breeders who will sell you healthy animals not sick.

Pat just wants the money.

Giardia is common in puppies from ALL Breeders. I hope the breeder prints out your article and countersues you for character assassination.

AUTHOR: Amy - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, January 14, 2011

My puppy came with it and I am very close to her breeder. We are good friends.Giardia, Coccidea andworms happen!! They are not even listed in puppy lemon laws as a reason for illness!! because they are easily found and treated . And they are EVERYWHERE in the environment. Even on the bottom of your shoes that you track in the house. Google Giarida and you will find that you just can't escape from it. Most of us and out pets have been exposed at some time in our lives. Not a reason to beat up the breeder. I am sure she is taking steps tocorrect this with the puppies and adults in her care. Just a phone call to her or an email would have been enough. Did you even contact her when the fecal came out positive for her advice? My breeder requests a fecal be done within a few days of taking the puppy into a home. Giardia can cause signs as early as THREE daysafter expousure! It is in rainwater, well water and even city water, and everywhere you find wild animals walking around, even squirrels in your yard. It is the number 1 cause of diarrhea in North America. Giardia will go through nursery school babies and will go through kids on field trips in church or school. If this was all that was wrong with your puppy then it is really nasty to come on her and cut her like you did over a common parasite that is impossible to hide from.New puppies should never be put around other pets in the household until a fecal exam comes back clean. this is what my breeder taught me. Giardia does not mean a breeder is dirty. Mine is very clean and paid for my medications and she was very embarassed over the whole thing. If you buy from a breeder you should like the breeder and trust the breeder and if a problem arises give them a chance to help before jumping on here and causng such damage to their reputations.

Sounds like your puppy passed his health exam just fine and all this is over a parasite. I did not see that you contactedthe breederright away after the fecal results. Did you? Did she offer to pay for the medications? Did you contact her at all when your puppies' fecal came back postive. Did you give the breeder a chance to help in any way? If I were your breeder I would try to get a court order for you to give the puppy back. I hope the breeder prints out your article and countersues you for character assassanation.

PURCHASED A CHOCOLATE FEMALE BACK IN 2005

AUTHOR: Allison - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, November 14, 2008

i Purchased a female cocker spaniel from Pat back in 2005. The cost of this dog was $950 which was wired to her bank account. I then decided that I did not want my puppy shipped so I traveled from New Jersey to her home to pick up my little girl. While I can say her greeting to me was a bit odd, since she started yelling at me when I arrived at her door and she had already knew that I was coming to pick this puppy up with my last updated call being placed to her 1 hour away from her home. I was eventually invited inside and I was sat in an area that was designed specifically for waiting with a couch and a box of dog toys etc... She then went into another area and brought my puppy to me. The puppy did not look like the puppy that I had been sent a photo of but non the less she was cute as a button and so she was mine. I never heard any other dogs barking while i was in the home, but she did bring some stunning male dogs for me to meet and when I say stunning I mean stunning, all clad with rhinestone collars and one more handsome then the next. I was then informed that this puppy of mine was not bred by her but by someone that she allowed her stud to be used and had pick of the litter, so I have no clue who the actual breeder was only in name on my Mollys papers. Pat informed me that she had forgotten to give my puppy the last worming so that she would need to do that before I left. As I left her home I remember thinking to myself that this cannot be good because I was about to venture on a journey all the way back to New Jersey and surely this puppy would need to use the potty many times after being dewormed and indeed it began no sooner had I pulled out of her driveway, then I also noticed that both the puppies ears had deep gashes with scabs on them and I turned around and went back to her house to ask her what this was and she informed me it was from the puppy being groomed. Needless to say I now know better and that these wounds were from other puppies biting on this puppies ears. Once I got Molly home the fun began, Molly was deathly sick with loose stools and vomiting and when I called her she told me to give Molly Alpo dog food and that she would be ok. I instead opted for Pedialyte and Pepto-bismol and it took me two days of administering this for Molly to begin to come around. I was lucky I guess while it seems that others have not been so lucky. While my feeling is that her intentions are not bad and she obviously has a love for animals as can be seen by her property at her home I think maybe she might be in over her head and it might all be a bit much for her at this point in life. I really am not sure what the situation is but I can tell you that Molly is still with me and she did require surgery for cherry eye in both eyes but so far no other issues yet. I just wanted people out there to know that there does seem to be some sort of problem going on....

Patricia Rockstroh And Heather Brenner Cocker Spaniel Puppies Fort Atkinson Wisconsin

AUTHOR: Mickie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, October 16, 2008

I spoke with the breeder this morning 10/16/08.
(1) No refund will be given because as it states in contract i should/could have taken puppy back to her and her vet for medicine.

(2) She thought my house was the cause of disease, we just purchased a NEW CONSTRUCTION HOME i Wonder Lake, IL area, 6 ft ceder fence yard and always pick up after any dog in our yard, very clean.

(3) I contact the local Sherrif's dept and deputy went out to her property and looked all around and inside kennel where she keeps the puppies and found nothing wrong, very clean dogs and puppies had water and food.

(4) I asked her about all the negitive wording against her on the intenet and she advised me that years ago, she had 4-5 people working for her that at one point started stealing from her, taking dog food, paper towels and supplies and at the end they stole a puppy. They wanted to file for un employment and then she started to take against them by not paying un employment and getting an attorney. These people started to write bad things on the internet to get back at her.

(5) I took the steps i felt necessary at the time because i read all the stuff on her after i purchased a puppy from her, and shortly after i purchased the puppy he became ill.

(6) Patricias home is in a nice area, her home is clean, it doesn't smell, no signs of any wrong doing. I think patricia is a small time breeder and just needs to take a better approch to the Vaccinations and stool samples of her breeding dogs and puppies and maybe this could have all been avoided. i have never written a bad report on anyone and now i kinda feel as if the ex employees have no right to place such claims.

(7) Look into breeders and get informed before you purchase.
