Received a VM at my place of employment from a person whom identified himself as 'Frank Jackson', an investigator investigating case number 167482. The message went on to say that I had until the cob in which to contact him re: this. I did an internet search and found several viable complaints listed against this entity. Not sure why they are calling me for I don't have any pay day loans; but, I have been victimized by identity theft.

Ignoring the problem does not make it go away. If you're sure they have access to something as private as a social security number, this office likely has a case or a file which directly concerns you. Your best bet is to contact the company to ask why they're trying to contact you. If it is something you did not do and occured when you had identity theft, you can fax them a copy of your police report and anything against you will be dismissed. I am also a victim of identity theft and the process of clearing my name was long, but it is worthwhile.
