Patriot Energy Rip Off Burlington, Massachusetts

As the newly assigned administrator of the Dallas branch of a national charity, I was contacted by a rep of Patroit Energy promising a substantial enery cost savings in 2007.  Thinking I could cut our operating cost, I signed on for what I thought was a 36 month contract.  The executed contract did not arrive as soon as I anticipated, so I called for a copy.  I was shocked to discover that the terms were for 54 months, not the 36.  I called the corporate office and was told that the contract was valid and nothing could be done.  For four years I have looked forward to the day when we would leave Patriot for another energy provider.  Guess who calls just a few months away from renewal?  A Patriot rep who knew of my displeasure with his company.  He wanted to see if he could explain what happened.  I told him when I called about four years ago, I was in a talking mood, but not now!  I advised that I have made plans for a new electric provider and there is absolutely nothing that would make me change my mind.  He kept wanting to explain.  I finally advised him that I did not want to seem impolite, but I was not going to talk with him and that I was hanging up.
